Really good hot pot in a cozy environment! Mild spicy is a good spice. If you don't like spicy food, definitely don't do a spicy dish as it's not actually "mild".

To celebrate The New Lunar Year, we decided to try Potasia. We are so glad that we did. Many options and selections from the broths to the soup ingredients. The cucumbers and mushrooms at the buffet bar were delicious. Since it was our first time we tried the meat and vegetable combo. I would recommend a side of rice or a full order of noodles. We cannot wait to go again to try different broths and other ingredients! It’s a really fun place with a great atmosphere and decor. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well.

Been a bit since we went out to eat and be people because of the cold. We decided to come here to Potasia and get some nice and cozy hot pot! This was my first ever hot pot and I really enjoyed it. We each chose our own soup, I went with the pork leg soup, my friend got the mushroom one. We ordered all our meats and veggies and let me tell you, we ordered a lottt. Juicy balls, lamb, tongue, squid, crab, sausages, corn, baby bok choy, kelp, mushrooms, cabbage, noodles, rice. Man our table was full as you can see. I had the green grape sake and the waiters were attentive for the most part to fill out water and soup. They also have a sauce and apps table in the back. Highly recommend the fungi in vinegar and making your own sauce. At the end we ordered some boba for the road even though we were wayyy to full to drink it. We enjoyed our stay! And hope to be back with more friends.

Food was good. Presentation was what I expected. It's just not 5 start dining and that's probably because the service was lacking. A drink never showed up. I had to get up and ask. They took it off the bill, but that's not really the point. I wanted a second drink, but it took 10 minutes to get a server to come to the table. I wanted to order another dish to go with the hot pot.. another 10 minutes to get a server. Just felt like we were being forgotten about.Overall, iI give it a 3 because the food was ok but the service attentiveness bright it down. 3 people, $150.00 +tip, I expect a little bit more

Decided to go to this hot pot since kpot in westbury had an hour half wait time, this had less wait time upon entering we were greeted nicely they have vegetarian soup base and different meat selection even though it wasnt an all you can eat place but the service was a little slow but still very nice and accommodating when my friend wanted new boba. Very chill vibes definitely coming back with family:)

Okay so its safe to say I am 1000% in love with Potasia. I go there A LOT. It is by far my favorite restaurant, my friends jokingly call it 'My Happy Place.' This place was my first Hot Pot experience and I am a changed person since trying it. The food is so good, I normally do the 'Pork Leg Bone' soup base but all of the soups are so good. A favorite menu item of mine are the Shrimp Dumplings, Pork Belly and Handmade Noodles. The sauce bar selection is big with endless combo options. The staff is super kind and patient, always taking the time to explain the process, recommend options and help cook items if needed. They will even replenish your soup when running low.If you are debating trying it, please do!Word to the wise, if you are thinking of going try and make a reservation, while they do accept walk-ins the place can get PACKED.All in all, this place is a 10/10, would recommend.Vegetarian options: They have a purely vegetarian soup base, expansive veggie menu section.

For the first time having pot i was a little uneasy going into it. I made my way out to Hicksville, NY with mixed feelings. The first thing you notice when you open the door is the smell. absolutely devine. I said to the people i was with. "This seems promising." Upon sitting down i was greeted with a glass of water and two checklists. i was told to cross the things out that i wanted. so i did. i was told that there were free appetizers and the sauce bar was open. So me and the group discovered the Buffet if you will and we made a plate for ourselves. The waiter took our checklist then in a few short minutes i was brought my pot of broth. he turned my pot on and we were rolling. the meat and veggies came next. after a minute the pot was boiling and i was unsure of how to cook the raw meat given to me. i just started dipping the stuff in the broth. after figuring out how long you want to cook your food you take it out and it's ready for you to eat. The food was delicious. At last we paid and on the way out there're was a bowl of complimentary candies. Lemme tell you i was taking handfuls of these things. they were amazing. If you are a fan of trying unique dining experiences like myself. this restaurant is for you.

Hidden gem in Long Island. The best broth I’ve had and gives the city hot pot spots a run for their money.

A Szechuan style hot pot. With 3 basic broths, spicy butter, pork bone and mushroom. It's a very social meal and the food is delicious. I will highly recommend dinner and not lunch. The price is the same but the appetizer buffet isn't served for lunch. It's a bit of a rip off.

Great hotpot place in Hicksville with options of spicy Sichuan style mala broth. It is ordered a la carte for the hotpot meats, veggies, etc or in meal sets, but they offer a free hotpot sauce bar along with a buffet of appetizers, which is very nice to eat as your food is cooking or as an accompaniment.Vegetarian options: Lots of veggies offered and vegetarian options such as tofu, veggie dumplings, mushrooms, and noodles.

Came here for dinner on Tuesday 5:30pm only one others party but as time went on another 3 party’s showed up. Atmosphere was great food came out quick and was fresh. Only thing is there service was good but you do have to flag down your waiter. It’s just a cultural thing. This is how it is when I was in Korea the waters don’t come to the table so you have to always call them. Since my wife and I live in riverhead going to flushing is not always on the table for convenience. We will definitely come back!
