“To start my review, I just wish there were more stars in the food and service category. Trio deserves 10 ⭐'s for both.This restaurant handles two types of food service, restaurant seating and catering for small to large parties. I've now experienced both. My most recent was a repast after a funeral. When everyone is emotional, the last thing the family needs is problems with the food service. Well, in our case, more people showed up than were originally expected. The staff at Trio didn't miss a beat. They set up additional tables in a flash and quickly had the tables set. We had buffet style dining and the selection was outstanding, with something for everyone. From soup to nuts, everything was delicious. They had fish, beef, vegetarian selections and even offered coffee and dessert. (by the way, if I had known how good the desserts would've been, I might have eaten a little less dinner.)The service is impeccable, everything is clean and fresh, the linens and tablecloths were spotless.I'd like to add that Trio is on the grounds of the Holbrook Country Club. You can grab lunch and drinks after you play, just show up and they accommodate parties of all sizes. You won't be disappointed!“

“I always have the skirt steak..it’s my favorite steak. Hubby always has the filet.. Both are delicious. The onion soup is also very good. The Sangria is delish…They do have a price fix menu… which has both the skirt steak and the filet… always a fabulous meal..“

“This is my favorite steakhouse on Long Island. From the valet service to the bussers everyone is friendly and extremely welcoming. For the prices you cannot beat it for the quality of the food they serve. We absolutely love the thick cut bacon and always order an appetizer special. Tonight we had the pierogi which were delicious. I highly reccomend the ribeye as this is one of the most tender steaks I’ve had served to me. Better than most restaurants who claim a 45 or 60 day dry aged. The service here is fantastic you will not see an empty drink on your table and they do not leave any crumbs on your table. Desserts are always amazing. Tartufo is one of my favorites here and the cheesecake is delicious. DONT FORGET TO GET THE MAC AND CHEESE. That is one of my favorites on the menu. I could eat a bowl myself.“

“I can not believe that this restaurant has been here on Main Street in Port Jefferson Village for over 20 years and I never ate there!!! This is my new Favorite place to eat. The food was exceptional and good size portions. The pita bread they put out on the table was so delicious I could have made that my meal. The service was extremely attentive and so personable. The Owner came around greeting everyone and made us feel like we were all family having dinner together. I am looking forward to my next visit.“

We like to either sit at the bar or the hi-tops behind it.As soon as we walk in, our eyes immediately move to the chalkboard with all the oyster selections. Last night featured around 7 oyster varieties from Long Island to PEIs, Pebble Beach, Massachusetts etc. We always like to ask our server (Rebecca was the absolute best), which ones stand out and she stated the Pink Moons. We proceeded to order two dozen total, sprinkling in all the varieties. It is heaven on earth here and when they deliver your trays, the convo immediately goes to whether it’s Mignonette or tartar and how much of a lemon squeeze. The absolute best. I told her if ‘Catch’ ever holds an Oyster eating competition , I want to enter…..and win!Our drinks were done to perfection. Filthy martini done perfect (stuffed olives amazing) for wife and Margs for me. We made sure to compliment the bartender.We shared the Soft Shell Crab sandwich for our entree. The taste brings us back to our Italian heritage growing up as kids. They even sprinkled bacon bits to go along w the regulars. Did not affect the taste one bit. Over the years we’ve had their soups, apps, fish dishes etc and I’m telling you, we eat all types of seafood and this place does it right.We highly recommend popping in here. My husband had the beef skewers which he enjoyed and he is very difficult to please. Desert got a high mark with the baklava and the chocolate bread pudding which you should not miss. “This place is small and mighty! Took my Mom in for a seafood lunch after finding Island Fish online nearby my work. The food was absolutely delicious. Mom ordered the lobster bisque which tasted just right, and a steamed lobster. which was delicious. I got a fisherman's platter which was spot on. I think the best part was Donna and Johnny took such good care of us as customers. So kind and fun to talk to. They treated us like family. Johnny was making soups at the time, and gave us some taste tests, and his soups are FANTASTIC. We tasted his she crab soup, the Lobster bisque and the shrimp corn chowder. All were perfectly seasoned and tasty. Order the soup.The whole shop is full of ready made seafood take home treats like crab cakes and seafood salads, and they have frozen crab legs and scallops too. “We wanted to go to kodabuki but they were closed , we looked on yelp and found this gem im so happy we went here it was absolutely fantastic !! We were fortunate enough to get the happy hour menu as well as the regular menu and it was all delicious, everything down to the green tea was unbelievable and the service was spectacular, can't wait to go back“

“I've lived in the area for years and never been inside this place until two weeks ago. The inside of the establishment has this classy old-school charm about it. It was a tiny bit confusing because they had the podium in the front by the door and the sign on it said to wait there I noticed everybody walked in anyway so I just went. Maybe they can hide that somewhere else until it's that time of the night or something? Anyway, one of my favorites slices is the grandma slice and I had to try theirs because it was suggested over and over to me by many people. So after finally trying one slice, I ended up buying a whole pie and taking it home. Yes, it's a tiny bit expensive in comparison to the other places locally but the quality of pie is worth the extra money. If you want to be taken back in time and enjoy a great slice then come here.“

“I'm a truck driver, me and my wife, we were delivering nearby. This place came highly recommended for my last stop on Long Island. Ended up being far far better than I expected. Tough to find good Italian authentic food these days. From the minute I walked in the door so accommodating, The food was to die for, definitely not finishing an entree. “We have a tradition of coming here for st pattys day because my hubby does not eat red meat. He always getfs his turkey burger and is happy. I was estatic to see fried pickles on the menu. We were driving on the 27A and looking for places for dinner and we came across this place with very good ratings. Food is very good and well made. The Miso soup was not overly salted as some other Japanese places I've been. The décor is very typical of Japanese as it has these semi private booths which I have never seen before in any Japanese restaurants. Really liked this place and service was attentive. Even though it's a bit far from where I live I will def stop by when I am near this establishment.“

“I have no idea why it has taken me so long to try this place but I went in for my sister's birthday a few weeks ago. We ordered the wood ear mushroom salad, edamame and the Shanghai soup dumplings for appetizers. The mushrooms are reason alone to go back. My entrée was the dry pot chicken which came in a wok lit by sternos underneath and full of dried peppers with a perfect amount of Sichuan peppercorns. My mouth was oscillating between the delicious burn and the tingling and numbing effects of the peppercorns. The other entrées were fantastic. Beef flat noodles with a savory sauce, a mountain of port fried rice, and a delicious pork noodle dish. For dessert, perfectly fried and sugared sweet potato cakes. My one real regret is not going to this place sooner. Our server was lovely and the owners made my sister's day special.“

I had heard the name when the ever ongoing debate of who has the best lobster roll around is spoken of. The view and atmosphere are wonderful. Seating area is comfortable and what you expect. The staff we were all friendly and welcoming. When it was time to decide what to eat I went back and forth between trying fried platter or lobster roll. Then I thought about all the rave reviews I'd heard and couldn't not order the lobster roll with crab cake appetizers. The crab cake were flaky but not dry. Perfect. My partners burger was big and juicy. Now the lobster roll was to die for. Warm and buttery was mouth watering delicious. The bread was soft and just right. Fresh lobster at its finest. I'll be dreaming of that buttery deliciousness forever. The coleslaw on the side was also excellent.“

“Went New Year’s Eve had an awesome meal off their special menu. Started off with a nice glass of German resiling wine, Shades of Blue, excellent! Then for appetizer had the crab cakes, loaded with crab topped with Aioli sauce, best I’ve ever had. Then had the fillet mignon with lobster tail, fillet had a good amount of gristle in the middle that I had to work around, other than that it was very good. Lobster tail was presented and seasoned very well in some sort of marinated butter, wine and garlic which I thought was top notch of flavor and tenderness. Came with the mash potatoes another good choice some of the best made. I can’t forget their delicious homemade multi grain bread which was very good. For last desert opted for the Crème Brûlée topped off with fresh made whipped cream, awesome. Let me also mention about our waitress very friendly and accommodating, great customer service.Overall had a very enjoyable and unforgettable experience at Nantucket's other than the fillet not being completely satisfied I give it the Cardillo Scale Rating Review of 4.8 out of 5. “We were looking for a Seafood dinner to be delivered via DoorDash yesterday. This is our first time having a meal from Harbor Crab Company. My husband and I are absolutely blown over. The food was beyond delicious! We both had the Grouper Entree. I also ordered Mahi Mahi Tacos as an appetizer, but the dinner was sufficient, so we had the tacos tonight. They were also Amazing! Wow!
