“Okay. Here’s the deal…. My wife and I drive I-81 between Virginia to the Canadian border A LOT. if we are anywhere north of Harrisburg looking for a good meal, choice #1 is Remlik’s in Binghamton…. But it is rarely open when we are driving through. A close second (and always open for lunch and dinner and in between) is Dasher’s. Great food at good prices in Homer, NY. Everything is great. A few special dishes…. The pate is extraordinary! When we’ve gone for a longer sit-down dinner, I love the Tomahawk Steak, but everything I’ve ever eaten there is excellent. Just a couple minutes off the interstate and fast enough service that it’s barely longer than fast food, but it’s way way better.“

“This was my first visit to Doug's having seen their sign for years, along with their trailer used for mobile events. Ordering at the counter is fine, everyone is trying to cut staffing costs. The food came in a reasonable time but the young ladies were pretty busy doing other things like cleaning up so they weren't especially friendly or welcoming. The fish itself was excellent, nice flavor, very well cooked. The sandwich roll was pretty boring, small and tasteless. Cold slaw was average. Fries were below average, not much taste, really quite bland.Parking: Plenty of room around the restaurant and in the mall behind it.Kid-friendliness: No reason not to take your children here“

The outside signage is representive of an older Era, 40's?Ate with a group of friends, and we had the side dining room to ourselves. Waiting for the others to get there, a friend that rode with me sat at the bar and chatted with the bartender and waitresses. The food was great and not too pricey.
