“On a Saturday MaMa’s was the only restaurant that would take our order. There was a bit of a wait, but we were so grateful that they actually answered the phone and didn’t hang up on us like a few places in Tannersville. It is cash only and they offer coke products in bottles. We ordered wings and a white pizza with broccoli. The ricotta was a little weird in texture(not sure how else to describe it but all 5 of us noticed it). overall it was a good pizza and we were starving by the time we picked it up. if you’re having trouble getting service elsewhere on a busy night call MaMa’s and they will take care of you.”

“Must do stop when in Hunter. Hours are limited off peak season. But makes your day between 8am to 3p for your coffee and snack break. The daily made brioche makes you a fan, especially with their local butter and jelly. I am a huge fan of their coffee which is just hot enough where you get the hit of coffee smell to validate its freshness. The bathroom is clean, the staff is friendly and attentive. And local merchandise makes nice house warming gifts.”

“We were greeted by Frances, who brought us to a nice quiet table with a view of the sparkly lights on the trees outside. She was also our server, and I believe was the only hostess and server working the entire restaurant. There were about five tables and we never felt rushed or forgotten. We ordered the special of the night, a citrus flank steak with mashed potatoes and asparagus, and the chili bread bowl. The chili was lukewarm warm but the right combo of spice and meat. Very yummy! While we waited for our food we enjoyed the paintings depicting the story of Rip Van Winkle. The food was good, the price was right (roughly $20 entrees) and Frances really was the icing on the cake for us!”
“The most filling food on the mountain top. If you need something to get you going after a hard day of skiing, Scottie's is the place to go without question.”
“Our party was 4 adults and 2 chilren and we were there on a Saturday in ski season. Food and ambiance were excellent Minus 1 star for the service...alittle slow needs a waitress not only a bartender.”

“This afternoon my Wife and I were finished working in Tannersville and decided on Chinese Lunch/supper before we headed home. So we went to the Peking in Hunter and glad we did. We had 2 egg rolls,an order of steamed dumplings and a smaller order of spare ribs. Our main dish was a Szachawon ToFu dish. Wow, what a great surprise by how great everything was. I have to give it a "10 Chopsticks Up".”

“Everything was fine just pancakes are with a corn type base with really not much option for children. The food portion is small for the large bill you get. Ultimately your paying for the atmosphere and mountain vibe.”

“Soooo good! I stopped in and impulse bought a key lime pie bar and biscuit. Both were fresh and outstanding! The key lime pie in particular was the best I’ve ever had and I’ve had LOTS. It’s a favorite. Craig the dude at the counter was also so nice and just cool.”

“Another visit to Tabla was once again moan worthy. The service is warm, friendly, quick and perfect. You cannot ask for better. And the food is creative and delicious. We LOVE their dips especially the whipped honey feta but all of them are delicious served with small pitas that are served warm, I also loved the Brussels sprouts that also have honey and tamari and bonito flakes. Bonkers good. And the desserts are so inventive. We had the banana pudding with nilla wafers (hello, comfort) and the cheese cake with compote AND took home the mocha torte for tonight thank you Tabla! You are so talented and wonderful.”

“We found this little gem of a store on our way to the Hudson River Skywalk. This store (if you're from the Hagerstown/Hancock areas) is similar to The Blue Goose. There are several types of locally sourced hot sauces, honey, and maple syrup. There are also fresh made baked goods and sandwiches, and a seating area if you have time to dine in. In the back and throughout the store are some novelty items, toys, touristy keepsakes, etc. Everything is reasonably priced, and the staff were super friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed this stop.”

“Totally blown away by how amazing the coffee and donuts are here in such an underdeveloped town. I visited here for the first time from nyc and this place even beats the coffee/donuts there. Most importantly it was super cheap. The gentleman who served me was also very friendly.”

“The twice fried french fries are a must, but really everything is good. Also the best place for cocktails in the Catskills. Becomes a great scene on weekends with live music. Worth checking out.”
“If you are Windham when this place is open you must go! No questions asked the best croissant of my life. So rich and delicate. Quiche is unreal and the coconut macrons are to die for”

“Only GREAT things to say about this establishment. Server was exceptional, energetic, and knew what she was talking about. All modifications to menu items were accommodated. Best of all - The live band on Saturday night was a blast to listen to and hang out by. We will be coming here every time for our annual ski trip.”

“Cozy diner with classic styling. The food is good and the staff is friendly. I got chicken parm and spaghetti off of the senior discount menu and it was quite tasty. I came with a hearty cup of soup, rice pudding for desert, and a coke. All in all, good food at a good price.”

“Brio’s is a classic, can’t go wrong! Pizza is amazing — the sesame seed crust is just perfection. 10/10 on the pizza front. They have a lot of solid choices on the menu. The ambiance might not be all that, but the food is just good! High quality ingredients & they make their own bread and desserts. If you’re in Phoenicia you’ve got to try it. I love their hot Italian grinder, the wings are good, I honestly don’t know if I’ve ever had something I didn’t like! The desserts are a must try as well!”

“As I’ve said before, I’m pretty picky about Mexican food being a native Texan. The chips and salsa here were nice. I got the cheese enchiladas suizas. Generous portions and everything was delicious. Parked in the back, was quite busy. Did have an issue with the bill (was about $50 less than it should have been, not our order at all) that took a while to resolve. About $80 for 4 people with drinks. Cute interior, a little cramped when busy. Would definitely eat here again.”
“WOW WOW WOW I just purchased two small bags of cookies at the popular Stormville flea market. The lemon white chocolate chip is DELICIOUS. I haven’t tried the peanut butter chocolate chip cookie yet. I’m hiding from kids while enjoying these cookies!”
“Cool little store located just outside the North/South Lake campground. They have a bit of everything, including camping supplies, food, clothing and even ice cream!”

“I have changed my original review to a more recent one.Had dinner over the winter here and was pleasantly surprised at the changes the current owners, John Gallino & his wife, had made to Millrock. Cocktails, Veal marsala and a delicious cheesecake to end the meal. Was a bit shocked at the cost. However, since the original owners have moved on, I definitely recommend.”

“Six stars for food and service. Excellent gluhwein mulled wine is homemade. I have a potatoe soup and a German burger. It's absolutely amazing food quality and price combination.”
