“The Sunday brunch for our wedding was one of the last things we booked, and surprisingly one of the hardest. We wanted a variety of hot and cold items, and coffee, that would help give pep to everyone’s step the day after our wedding, and Heather’s food delivered 200%. I can’t even explain how much life those breakfast burritos breathed back into me on Sunday morning. And I tried a bit of everything—the yogurt and granola, fruit, sausage, coffee, bagels—it was universally delicious. We couldn’t be more thrilled we worked with Heather, and you won’t be, either. Her communication, variety, service, everything was excellent.”
“I have a LOT to say about my stay here at Crystal Brook Mountain Brauhaus Resort. I came here for a solo weekend getaway to explore the Catskills and I would absolutely return here every time. When I checked in with Wendy, I could tell my stay would be very welcoming. She was very friendly and informative as to what the resort offers and she even gave me suggestions for nearby hiking trails. The lounge area is neatly designed, with a piano and photos littered all over the walls. It almost feels as if you're in someone's home. Very cozy. When I got to my room I was a little surprised with how small it was, albeit being exactly what I wanted. This may not suit everyone, so just be sure you understand what you're paying for. It's a bit antiquated with a nice charm and simplicity to it. I had no problems with the setup (especially considering how clean it was) other than having to drink the water from the faucet. Wendy assured me that it was clean and that's the way it is there, and it tastes fine, but I want to just put that out there. The wifi can also be a bit spotty, which personally I didn't care because I was there to get away from it all. But for those of you who absolutely need a strong internet connection, bear that in mind, especially since cellular service can be limited in certain spots out in the mountains. There's a pool nearby available for use, alongside the fantastic Mountain Brauhaus restaurant and some small trails only a walk's distance away. Breakfast is provided every morning from 8 to 10 and the food is cooked per order. You can get as much as you want and best believe I took advantage of that . The food was very tasty and had different offerings each morning to keep it interesting. The restaurant (not included) is the primary dinner offering. It's German styling is wonderful and I really liked that the staff also wear German outfits. I had gotten one of the German beers, their special which was a Rouladen, and a Plum Cake for dessert. The beer was crisp and refreshing. The Rouladen and the Plum Cake were FANTASTIC and I cleaned my plate fully. Portions were very fair. Overall I absolutely loved my stay at Crystal Brook Resort. The only thing that threw me off was the drinking water situation and the iffy WiFi, but even that can be overlooked considering the cost to stay here. I think everything was affordable and proved to be worth every penny. Definitely going to return here when I come back to the Catskills.”

“Fantastic food and drinks. Very fresh and carefully crafted. Very nice restaurant inside with good acoustics and lighting. The menu can be a bit difficult to decipher if you’re not familiar with Spanish but the waiters are great at explaining each item, if necessary. We felt a bit bad because we were asking the waiter about everything because we had no idea what we were reading. Overall we had a great experience and would return if we came back to the area again.”
“We stopped by this cool little cafe in Cairo on our way back home to NYC after a quick weekend in Windham. The people who work there are so warm and friendly. We ended up getting an iced latte and some of their delicious pastries, the chocolate croissant, ham and cheese croissant, and a pack of their salted chocolate chip cookies. They were kind enough to include a small madeleine on top of my latte. Everything tasted so good, it’s a shame they’re so far away. Definitely worth a stop if you’re ever in that area! :-)”
“Soooo good! I stopped in and impulse bought a key lime pie bar and biscuit. Both were fresh and outstanding! The key lime pie in particular was the best I’ve ever had and I’ve had LOTS. It’s a favorite. Craig the dude at the counter was also so nice and just cool.”
“Don't walk, run to See and Be. Best sourdough bread you've ever had. Gluten intolerant? Not with this bread, honey! I ate a whole loaf and felt nothing but satisfaction.”
“One of our favorite places, if you’re in the area and like cinnamon rolls look no further! Nina’s cinnamon rolls are some of the BEST. We’re so excited to work with her for our wedding cake!Dietary restrictions: Nina does offer a selection of gluten and dairy free desserts that are delicious!”

Highly recommended.Vegetarian options: The yellow submarine was phenomenalDietary restrictions: They r so accommodating to food allergies”
“We came here based on the reviews after a day of skiing at Hunter mountain. The owner Elise was amazing, helpful even though it was busy! Food was definitely fresh and ”
“Lives up to is name, adorable, fun and friendly old time ice cream parlor feel. Nice selection of ice cream flavors and sundae and shake selections. Good prices, highly recommend!”

“You can have pizza, calzones, stombolis, pasta,or any Italian dish. Or they have an extensive Mexican menu. All the food was great and our server was very attentive. I would definitely recommend this place. For all your eating needs.”
“Phenomenal food. Everything was delicious but I highly recommend the dips, particularly the whipped feta. Their steak & potatoes were perfectly cooked. Sit outside by the fire & bring your pups!”
“Family owned and operated! Serving homemade everything and fresh local maple syrup. They have gluten free English muffins that are perfect for a celiac, & for making the best breakfast sandwiches.”
“So I was on Warren street in downtown Hudson and googled the best pancakes and ended up finding Lindsay’s the food was definitely worth the drive but the service was incredible! The waitress was so happy, kind, and attentive. Not to mention the prices are great, so you can sample a few different options and not break the bank! This place is GEM! Thank you Athena for a wonderful experience!”
“Can't speak about the beer, but the cranberry spritz and cranberry mule were delicious! Overall, I was happy with our food. I just wish the service was a bit faster but looked like they were short staffed. Regardless, I'd return.”
“Totally blown away by how amazing the coffee and donuts are here in such an underdeveloped town. I visited here for the first time from nyc and this place even beats the coffee/donuts there. Most importantly it was super cheap. The gentleman who served me was also very friendly.”
“This is a take out restaurant that is the best it's ever been in over 20 years. Fast, reliable, delicious. Great wonton soup, even the wife's French fries!”
“My first time in the Catskills. Take it with a grain of salt but I’ve traveled all over the United States, and I simply love this place. I’ll be back as soon as the schedule allows it. Great service, beverages and food. Murphy’s Law Rocks ?”
“Only GREAT things to say about this establishment. Server was exceptional, energetic, and knew what she was talking about. All modifications to menu items were accommodated. Best of all - The live band on Saturday night was a blast to listen to and hang out by. We will be coming here every time for our annual ski trip.”
“I placed a large catering order for a party and the guy behind the counter was very helpful as well as polite. I wanted an item that wasn’t on the catering menu yet they still did it for me. The food was excellent especially their tortellini in cream sauce with prosciutto and garlic knots. Everyone at the party loved the food and wanted to know where it came from. Very satisfied with Mateo’s! They’ll continue to get my regular business as well as all parties.”
“Don't understand the bad reviewsBig Belly Deli is very good and has also a clean deliThe Owner is a friendly man and his Family also help out all in one a perfect Shop”
“I love looking for coffee shops everywhere I go and stumbled on this place after we hiked Kaaterskill Falls. Their Black Bear Burger is a MUST to try. I also had their Jolene which paired well with my burger. If this place wasn't on the opposite direction of where we needed to go we would've came back the next day just to get burgers to go! ?”
“Thoroughly enjoyed an excellent evening after walking in without reservations and sat at the bar during restaurant week and was met by a friendly and attentive staff. Presented with a menu that had a plethora of different and varied options including chicken, pasta, beef, etc. & I can only say that I could have ordered any item without hesitation merely from the description offered. The first course consisted of choosing soup or salad and I chose Cesaer salad while my company chose soup that must have been phenomenal for he put his spoon down and drank directly from the bowl. For the second course I went with the tortellini while my friend had the beef. Both were worth the trip. The bartender offered light and amusing banter and the whole staff made us feel as if we had known them and been patronising their fine dining establishment for years. Dessert came and I had the peach sorbet while my friend enjoyed the tira misu to compliment a perfect dining experience that was as impromptu and spontaneous as one could have. I highly recommend this fine establishment to all that may embark upon this delicious journey… ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“Best. Coffee. And very cool cards. Not sure there is much more to say other than if you are around the area, make sure to stop in. It's not a shop that does a lot, you won't find snax and things. They do coffee and greeting card. And they do them well.”
“Nice local place with good food and friendly staff. The food was good had the chicken parm it was good. The only thing I would say was the plate selection for this meal was a little awkward to eat it.”
“Amazing food! I’ve been here a few times now and the food is always fresh, hot and delicious! The owners are very friendly and outgoing. Great atmosphere for indoor dining. Highly recommended whether you’re looking to eat in or take out. I’ll be back, many times!”

“What a vibe. We came in the winter and felt soooo cozy! The food, cocktails and wine were excellent! I am so pleased with our meal.Service is relaxed, no kids menu.Kid-friendliness: No kids menu, current menu has a real adult focus. However, there was lots of things to look at and explore, so my kids had a good time.”
