We had a wonderful dinner at Sambal. The atmosphere is quite nice. Despite what some other reviewers experienced, we had impeccable service. Plenty of parking. Crispy Spring Rolls and Thai Ground Chicken with Chilies And Basil were excellent. Spicy Guava Martini was tasty and spicy and the Lychee Martini was delicious. The Nyonya Mixed Veggies was pretty bland, however. We didn't bother taking those leftovers home.
The restaurant is up a flight of stairs. Be aware. The place is beautiful inside and must be terrific outside on their terrace in warm dry weather. The gin smash was great. We had the Hakka noodles with duck and the Chaing Mai Curry. Both delicious. I especially liked the Chaing Mai. The fried banana and ice cream desert is also recommended. Came here tonight with friends and brought my 2.5 year old son along. This place was perfect. I love the decorations, the music, the balcony lights with the river view. We sat by the window and enjoyed our meal as the sun was setting. It was beautiful. Everything we ordered came out delicious!
