The menu is pretty standard for a diner, but the specials were truly unique and phenomenal. I had an omelette with chorizo and habanero cheese, amongst other veggies. Best omelette I’ve ever had, hands down. Only thing I can recommend to new visitors is to get there early; while we were waiting for a table, one of the four specials became unavailable, and as we were ordering our meals, we sold them out of a second special. I would definitely come back again and I wish I had sooner!”

The French onion soup was exceptional, just like the last time I was here and the scallops were delicious! Every week my supervisor and I would order from you guys “ a large pepperoni pizza with a side of blue cheese” it got to be that they knew me so well as soon as they heard my voice they said “large pepperoni with a side of blue cheese for Bethany” The service has always been top tier! Tonight, my husband tried Sal’s for the first time (like I said I usually get it at work) we got a large pepperoni pizza with a dozen garbage sauce wings. He immediately fell in love with the wings and pizza 10/10! If you haven’t eaten at Sal’s before you are missing out.”

“Novick's cafe has a very cozy yet refined vibe. I feel like I've been transported from Cornell to somewhere in a big city. As a student, it's a perfect location to grab a quick coffee/snack when leaving your dorm to go to class. Or it's also a wonderful study space (outlets on the second floor).

Wheelchair accessibility: I'm not sure if there's a wheelchair accessible way to get to the second floor, but the first floor is wheelchair accessible. There are a ton of flat paths outside that lead to Novick's. Even when there are stairs, there are also ramps beautifully crafted into the hillside with very gradual slopes.”

The shared spaces offer everything you didn't even know you needed and the guest rooms are spacious, private and luxurious. The bathrooms are well lit, stocked and feature showers that are not just beautiful but experiential. I loved the coffee and snacks near the front desk with their kind and helpful staff. It's high end without being stuffy and homey without being kitschy, the best of all worlds come together at Argos Inn!”

“I would venture to say this is the best coffee in Ithaca! I had a decaf cortado, and it was executed perfectly. Not only is the staff friendly and knowledgeable, but they also know how to pull their shots and steam milk just right. If you're used to third wave coffee, this is the place for you!”

“My daughter and I stopped in here on a Friday night, the waiter was fast and nice. We had spaghetti and meatballs and chicken parm dinners, the salad bar was fresh and the food was delicious! We will be back again for prime rib night! The decor is very nostalgic I thought it was great, my teen daughter gave the decor a giggle!”

“The service and atmosphere was amazing, they had historical decorations . On the back of the menu there was information about the area's history. The food was amazing, I got a rice bowl and crepes, the crepes were mildly overcooked but it didn't bother me. It came with unsweet homemade whipped cream and fresh berries. It wasn't too sweet. The rice bowl was an Asian take on a breakfast rice bowl and the flavors went very well together. I also got a cold brew coffee and it was brewed very well, it came black and there was a section with milk and multiple kinds of sweeteners. The employees were very kind and quick. The seating wasn't the best as they only had tables of 2 and one table of 4. There was outdoor seating but it was on top of parking so there was only 3 parking spots.”

Matt behind the bar was outstanding, running all around to try and “put of fires” everywhere. We were there longer than we should’ve been, but the food was still great and we will definitely go back! “We had a fabulous dinner at The Boatyard Grill! My husband ordered the ribeye and I ordered the strip steak. The steaks were cooked perfectly, great cuts. One thing that makes these steaks so good is the wood fired grill taste.

The mashed potatoes were flavorful and delicious! Green beans were also fantastic, so glad they weren’t soft, but had a slight crisp as they were cooked perfectly. My husband’s ribeye was presented beautifully with mushrooms and roasted garlic! We split 6 coconut shrimp, these were excellent. I hope to return and next time try the scallop or lobster, shrimp, and scallop risotto! There were so many great options, we will be back!

Also, our waitress, Amy was fantastic! She provided excellent service and she as so friendly. We also enjoyed the atmosphere— so cozy with a fireplace and nice seating options!

Update: We visited a second time and it was just as wonderful! This time we ordered the Georgia peach grilled chicken and smash burger!”

“My boyfriend and I went here together for the very first time and had an amazing experience. The food was fresh, the service was quick and our waitress was very kind. The only drawback to our experience was the manchild in the restaurant when we arrived. He was sitting at a table with 2 others dining in as we were, and decided that screaming at the waitress, the chef, and 2 other employees was an appropriate course of action after there was a misunderstanding when he and my boyfriend ordered something similar and the manchild was accidentally brought the wrong dish. With an air of not so subtle racism, he accused them of doing it on purpose, and demanded all of their meals (his as well as his other two very unfortunate dining companions) be completely comped, to which the other unfortunate people dining with the manchild, all completely horrified of his behavior, paid their tab and wanted to leave quickly. The employees at the establishment handled the situation SO professionally and immediately did everything to remedy the situation, which made our experience there even better. We ordered food to go, and will definitely be recommending this location to others and returning here our next time in Ithaca. Hopefully manchild will stay at home and cook his own food next time- and again- kudos to the lovely staff at Saigon!”

The way he talked to he’s coworkers is unbelievable. No respect at all specially with young people. Hopefully the owners are aware of this guy behavior.”
