I think this is the best pizza in Ithaca and it will be my go to place from now on! About a month ago I had an issue with a Door Dash order and Nate went above and beyond to make it right.”

“Just tried Mama Said Hand Pies for the first time… I started with a maple cold brew. It was made like the employee really cared that I enjoyed it - carefully combined and stirred and not overpacked with ice like other places do so that you only get a few sips of coffee before it’s a cup of ice left. And the cold brew itself was very smooth. Then I got the spinach egg and cheese hand pie. I initially thought they looked kind of small but they’re super filling so I was pretty full after one. The flavor was so good and the crust was fresh and buttery and crispy. I also got the sausage gravy and egg hand pie which was heavenly. And even though I was completely stuffed after two, I did try the cherry hand pie and loved the almond glaze on top of it. Can’t wait to go back to try the other flavors!”

The strawberry lemonade was fizzy which isnt my thing—but that’s a me problem. Ate it at their mobile bar like a civilized human. The owner? Cool as hell. I’d follow this truck like it owes me money.”

“I drove down from Cape Vincent to meet one of my best friends from college who was in the area for a family wedding. I was completely blown away by my meal. The waitress was incredible. I had the Chilean sea bass and it literally melted in my mouth. The salad with fresh fruit and a raspberry vinaigrette was outstanding. We ordered coffee and I was brought a little tray with fresh whipped cream, as well as other delightful garnishes. Finally… the mile high carrot cake!! Pure bliss. Thank you for a truly memorable experience. And I was so grateful that we weren’t rushed. We don’t get to see each other frequently and it was a blessing to just spend time together.”

“We were in the mood for fish and chips and found Northstar Public House, one of the few places in Ithaca with a Gluten Free option. So glad we did! Hands down the best dinner we’ve had during our visit. The fish and chips were amazing, the mac and cheese was super tasty, and the mocktail Shy Violet was spot on. Our server was wonderful and made the whole experience even better.

The vibes are great too—reggae music playing when we walked in set the tone right away. If you’re looking for a spot with delicious food, friendly service, and Gluten Free options that don’t compromise on flavor, this place is a must!”

“Awesome music venue and sober bar. Lots of interesting teas and seltzers. They used to sell an interesting Kava drink, but the bureaucrats in the state shut it down for some reason. Maybe they can bring it back some day. Anyway, aside from lots of unique beverages, this is an amazing place to see live music. Check out the shows playing there because it's very eclectic, so you can probably find something cool most nights!”

The shared spaces offer everything you didn't even know you needed and the guest rooms are spacious, private and luxurious. The bathrooms are well lit, stocked and feature showers that are not just beautiful but experiential. I loved the coffee and snacks near the front desk with their kind and helpful staff. It's high end without being stuffy and homey without being kitschy, the best of all worlds come together at Argos Inn!”

Some of the specials are a very good value. The old 3-for-$10 special is gone; it's now $11 and has a limited choice of entrees. It's still a good value, and the hamburger may be the best in Ithaca.

Consider what's on the TV screens before you sit, and ask to sit facing something you want to see. Otherwise (perish the thought) you'll have to make conversation with your tablemates...unless you brought a smartphone.”

“I would venture to say this is the best coffee in Ithaca! I had a decaf cortado, and it was executed perfectly. Not only is the staff friendly and knowledgeable, but they also know how to pull their shots and steam milk just right. If you're used to third wave coffee, this is the place for you!”

“My boyfriend and I went here together for the very first time and had an amazing experience. The food was fresh, the service was quick and our waitress was very kind. The only drawback to our experience was the manchild in the restaurant when we arrived. He was sitting at a table with 2 others dining in as we were, and decided that screaming at the waitress, the chef, and 2 other employees was an appropriate course of action after there was a misunderstanding when he and my boyfriend ordered something similar and the manchild was accidentally brought the wrong dish. With an air of not so subtle racism, he accused them of doing it on purpose, and demanded all of their meals (his as well as his other two very unfortunate dining companions) be completely comped, to which the other unfortunate people dining with the manchild, all completely horrified of his behavior, paid their tab and wanted to leave quickly. The employees at the establishment handled the situation SO professionally and immediately did everything to remedy the situation, which made our experience there even better. We ordered food to go, and will definitely be recommending this location to others and returning here our next time in Ithaca. Hopefully manchild will stay at home and cook his own food next time- and again- kudos to the lovely staff at Saigon!”

“Hands down the best university dining hall I’ve ever experienced. Open to the public at $16 for adults and ~$7 for kids, it’s an absolute steal considering the quality and scale. The space is massive and beautifully designed, even equipped with a “Discovery Kitchen” for live courses and cooking demos.

The food stations are incredibly diverse: halal, West Side Grill, East Side Market, North End Pizza and Pasta, salad bar, dessert bar, fruit bar, yogurt bar, ice cream (from Cornell Dairy!), and more. Even in summer break, with some stations closed, the options were overwhelming in the best way.

Highlights:
• The pizza was top notch – fresh from wood-fired ovens.
• Blueberry and banana yogurt? Dreamy.
• The grilled fish was surprisingly delicious.
• Tater tots and salad bar were far above average – packed with thoughtful toppings like artichoke, chickpeas, beets, and tuna salad.
• Desserts were solid; the brownie was rich, and we had fun making waffles ourselves.
• The ice cream options, while not mind-blowing, are generous and fun to explore (and hey, it’s Cornell Dairy).

If I were a student here, I’d never want to eat off-campus. Absolute envy.”
