“Went here based on the recommendation of a local. I must confess I really hadn’t a clue what to expect with Tibetan cuisine. While the service and atmosphere were only average, the food was good. Sadly I can’t even tell you what we ordered as we went of the numbers on the menu, but we had a good assortment of food with some fun flavor profiles. “Calling all spicy food lovers - head to Spicy Nepal ASAP. Continuing our Nepalese food tour in Sunnyside, we finally tried Spicy Nepal and it did not disappoint, especially in the heat department. We ordered the Bhatamas Saandeko (fried soy beans - wow!), Vegetable Pakora, Chili Chicken Momo, and the Fish Thali. All were perfectly spicy and had lots of flavor. We definitely put that Mango Lassi to good use b/c there were a lot of sniffles. The location (39-35 47th Ave) is tucked away, so I'm bummed that they're almost always empty when I pass by. Hoping more people will give them a shot b/c I certainly will! The prices are also pretty reasonable.“
“Excellent decor, you can miss it from it's non descript exterior but once you walk through the door it opens up into a large space with fully stocked bar and a pleasing aesthetic. The beef tripe in chilli sauce is excellent and my favorite off the menu. They also give generous portions of both food and wine for a great price that doesn't break the bank.“

“Namaste Brooklyn (on Cortelyou Rd.) has some of the best and most unique food in Brooklyn (and that is saying something)! Their service is excellent, the prices, in general and especially for 2024 (inflation is a killer), are very reasonable and both the owners, Sonam and Lopsang, are gems (if there is an additional owner I am sorry I left you out, I haven't met you yet!) and everyone is always incredibly friendly. Get the MOMO, any and all MOMO is delicisous and their sauces are top notch as well.“

The staff was very friendly. It can be a bit pricey but all in all it was pretty good experience and I'd definitely recommend it.Parking: It can be somewhat difficult to find parking around here so make sure you plan ahead to give yourself enough time.“

The goat curry is always excellent, as are the momos, chicken thali and dal, and it’s so reasonably priced compared to other restaurants in this area. The staff were also very attentive and helpful. “Absolutely adorable spot right next to the train. We walked in around 12 and immediately were seated. I came here during the momo crawl and loved their momo and their kindness, so I had to return. I have no doubts. I love this spot! It was as I expected. The food here is amazing. I loved the beef in my thali (fatty, meaty, yummy) and the dal and greens were so tasty and delicious! It was everything I wanted in a thali! The momo were hot and perfectly made in beautiful arrangement and tasted so good! The beef was fresh and the momo skin super thin so you can eat a ton in a sitting (there's eight momo's in an order)! The decor inside is so gently calming. I'm not merely saying that because Arjit Singh is playing in the background but because the service was outstanding. I would totally go back like today if I didn't already have plans! So awesome!“

“We came here for the first time. We have had nepalese/ indian food in the past. This is an excellent restaurant thw atmosphere is aubdued and friendly. Not noisy at all. Our waitress Nikita was very attentive and helped us pick the house specialties.I highly recommend the mushroom chili, especially if you like spicy foods. Tou will not find this elsewhere. The fritters are also delicious as is the tikka massala. The nan is soft and buttery and flavorful.The deinks are original. I love the yak kick starter and my . wife the chapata aam.We will be coming back.“
“Me and my girlfriend always enjoy getting takeout here. It is tucked away in a quieter part of Woodside and they serve high quality Nepalese food. We especially like the Thali's which consists of different kinds of food on a platter (think Banchan but larger portions). They consist of: protein (typically in a curry), lentils, vegetable curry, rice, raw red onion/lemon/slightly bitter green vegetable/chili pepper. The combination of all of these ingredients make the dish so appetizing as there are different textures and tastes.“

The paneer chili was well made but the paneer itself lacked flavor! the Himalayan Thalia offered a few different things including a fondue - esque dip, fried dough, and potato, bean soup! I was not a fan and won't order this again. The veggie dumplings with potato, cheese and spinach wasn't my favorite - it was a bit sweet, which I found odd Service: great service! “Secret gem - hole in the wall! Went to the one at the upper floor where you take the stairs to the restaurant. The restaurant is small with only about 6 tables and you can see the kitchen, and it was clean (the staff sanitises the table after use).The food - we tried the Ping Khatsa and Tsak Sha La Ko Hot - loved both of them. The Ping Khatsa was thin sweet potato noodles in a mild soury soup and the Tsak Sha La Ko Hot is beef and radish in herbal clear soup. Also had the butter tea (I think it’s interesting, although not my cup of tea).Definitely would come back for more! Cash only establishment. I wished they would move away from single used chopsticks one day (they do provide proper fork and soup spoon).“

“I've been getting momos from here for at least 7 years. The steamed beef dumplings are my go to. They come with scallion & they're the best I've ever had. The chicken dumplings are good too. The chicken dumplings contain cilantro instead of scallion, so if you're not a fan of cilantro, you should get the beef. The chow mein noodles are pretty good too. I really wish this place would get their own place instead of having to share with Merit.“
