It's hard to find good Ecuadorian food, so finding this place was a stroke of luck. I had the breaded meat with rice and beans, salad and french fries. It was very hearty so I ended up breaking into two separate meals. I've gone on the weekend during the day, and it gets packed! Be aware, they charge a 20% service fee. Other than that, service was ok. The food great and some lacked Ecuadorian flavors.The bandera it's a plate that has guata, seco de chivo, encebollado and shrimp something, not shrimp ceviche.The guata, chivo and encebollado delicious. I have not been to every Ecuadorian restaurant in NY, but this is definitely my favorite. They serve a variety of Ecuadorian cuisines with an emphasis on coastal food. Some of my favorites include the morocho (personal favorite) tigrillo, the humitas, seco de chiva, guatita, and arroz con concha. There are a lot of things I still need to try. I also always order a jugo de guanabana and pico de la hueca. Sometimes they have musicians come in and are always screening soccer games.
