The food was okay but the experience here was horrendous. So we came here in the middle of a blackout. The entire place was dark and they tried to bring light with a few candles all over the place. They assured us that they would be able to still cook except much of the menu was unavailable. No problem -- we picked from the items that was available. We waited over an hour for our food and for some reason, people kept coming in and attempting to order. It seems as though continued to forget we were there. Many men came in out and there was arguing between several men and a man who claimed to be the manager. I stepped outside because I got tired of sitting down and waiting and there were even more men outside -- overall, the experience was not charming. I won't be back.

Oh my Goodness... This quaint small place is a beautiful surprise! The macaroni and cheese is better than my mamas (don't tell her, please), the fried shrimps are a perfectly seasoned golden delight and the collard greens are straight from South Carolina. The service is SUPERB. If you're craving soul food and your in Queens, this definitely the place to go. THEY EVEN SELL KOOL AID

If I could give it zero stars I would! I waited 2 hours for food that never arrived. I called several times to inquire about my food and the little girls they have working there were nothing but disrespectful. I kept being told wait 30 minutes and then an hour. On the final call, I got the following response: "I don't know what to tell you. You want it or nah?" I canceled right away. That food isn't worth all the drama.

I ordered from this place on DoorDash and when the food got here I realized it was a MISTAKE. sadly , when I tasted it I felt the same way. I thought it was another soul food restaurant that I had ordered from months prior .. but this place didn't even come close. I would not feed this food to my dog. They get two stars because the yams and the fried shrimp are good. The Mac and cheese was flavorless. Same result with the mash potatoes. The wings are undercooked ( for me ) .. They have that stale smell at the bone and were very difficult to pull apart. The salmon extremely salty .. I spent over $50 and I am not only disgusted but disappointed. The salmon that was " grilled " had that fresh out the water and unseasoned taste. I added my shrimp to it hoping that it would be more appealing for my husband but one taste and he rebuked the whole plate !

This place is Queens beat kept secret! Nice quaint place with authentic soul food! For a great price you and your family can fare sumptuously. I love this restaurant.

Ordered a turkey wing dinner with mac and cheese and collard greens. The greens were torn up instead of chopped and slightly tough, but, overall, the meal was good.

Good food horrible service! Every worker there has a nasty attitude from the ghetto females to the hood males that work there!! They always run out of something! It’s Says they serve breakfast all day but when you try to order breakfast they claim “oh we ain’t got that right now”
