“I DO NOT recommend this tasting room. I really wanted to like it here because we love going to breweries and trying different things. I went with my sister and my mother this past weekend and it was very busy. There were two older gentleman working and we understood that it would take some time which we were okay with. at one point one of the gentleman asked if we'd been waited on yet and I said no, but that I understood they were busy. However, after we were asked this (we were standing directly in front of the one man) him and the other gentleman proceeded to wait on 3 other groups of people that came in after my sister and I. I was so pissed off/disappointed that we decided to just leave. it's too bad because I would've loved to spend my money there, but felt very much like the whole experience was completely uncalled for.”

“This is a foodie's paradise! Simple but sweet atmosphere. Chef Andrea creates food for the soul, and Liz presents it in a prefectly balanced friendly, attentive manner. This was an unexpected treat! The food was creative and delicious, while the service was literally perfect. I felt like I went to a friend's house for dinner and a Michelin chef showed up to help! Kudos ladies! I highly recommend and look forward to coming back to Lake Placid, because this is the first place I will visit! Thank you both!”

“This place is truly amazing, the food is out of this world and the staff so welcoming. We stayed in a room for the golf package weekend and I can say it was peaceful. I want to give a huge shout ot to Ms. Laura she is such a beautiful person and top notch all the way around. She did such an amazing job keeping our rooms up and just made us feel so special. “We went to this small bakery and we did not regret it at all. Had a chocolate eclair and a blueberry morning pastry. We also bought coffee. Everything was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend visiting. Spent $20.25 total.”

“Great coffee, friendly staff, great view. Only downside is that the seating is very limited, at least in the winter (for about 7-9 depending on how comfortable two people get). Not sure if there's more seats on the porch in the summer.

Not a shop I'd choose for leisurely reading/writing/relaxing beyond getting your coffee and going. But worth a detour for the coffee.”

“Jimmy's 21 has become our traditional first-dinner-in-Lake-Placid preferred location. This time, we came with our four-year-old, and it was just as enjoyable as when we've come as a couple or with a group of 8+. The top-notch service, high quality food, and relaxed but romantic atmosphere are always consistent, and very much anticipated. The views of Whiteface and Mirror Lake are so exquisite. We love it here, and it remains one of our all-time favorites!”

“Love this place. The soft serve is really cold, creamy, and flavorful. We got twists (which were a great balance for 50/50 chocolate and vanilla) and straight vanilla. They also gave us two free pupcups for the dogs. If I do not drive past before they close for the fall/winter I will be sure to come back as soon as they open next season.”

We also got a cake, fruit tart and cake pops for dessert and they were all incredible. I highly recommend them for any catering needs.”

“Today my boyfriend, son and I ate here for the first time, the food was absolutely amazing and our waitress was very pleasant. we were originally seated outside in a very cramped, end of the row seat that didn't accommodate us well with having a stroller.. as we got up and were about to leave a very friendly waiter seated us inside. very kind, we were pleased tremendously. as we were eating our food a gentleman who appeared to be the man who keeps up with their books was SCREAMING at all the waitresses and waiters in another language, VERY AGGRESSIVE and angry..slamming paperwork down extremely hard on their POS station.. it was extremely unprofessional and awkward for us to be trying to enjoy our food... our waitress apologized on his rude behavior. (not her fault, she was lovely). besides that, I absolutely recommend the Tuna. what a great dish that was. Hope someone lets that gentleman know it was absolutely noticed by customers and really unprofessional.”

“We live close to Lake Placid. My only regret is that we didn’t try this place sooner. First let me say the beer was ice cold, server very nice and friendly and attentive. Now the food, best wings by far I have ever had. Just the right amount of smoke flavor and the sauce was nothing I have tasted before. I had a burrito with brisket and every bite had another delicious flavor. My husband had a burger that was also amazing. If you are in the area, this is a must try!”
