“5/5! I cannot recommend the state room ENOUGH! I just had my daughter's baptism lunch this past weekend and the food, ambiance, service, environment were all 10/10! Julian was an amazing hostess who catered all of our needs from beginning to end, even offering custom napkin colors, helping us run stuff from car to venue, providing easels... she made the event absolutely seamless. I cannot wait to host a party here again. All of our friends and family were also raving about the food and how lovely the day was! We cannot thank you enough State Room!!!“

“We had our wedding here at the end of April and everyone at the Essex club was incredible. The day of the wedding went more smoothly than I ever could have imagined. I am a very minimalistic person with weddings so I barely planned and despite that, the Essex Club left me with nothing to worry about. No rehearsal dinner was the norm. They told us where to go, when and where to stand, checked in on us constantly, the bridal assistant was so sweet. Rob the maitre’d was incredible, kind.It is just an incredibly well oiled machine. They have so much experience. One of our guests said the salmon was the best he ever had. They made sure we ate. They set up all the decorations then when the night was over we went to collect our chair bows from outside but everything was already waiting by the door for us to take home.I highly recommend if you are thinking about having your wedding here. They leave nothing for you to worry about. Jessica was also very responsive throughout and answered all of our many questions with patience.“

“I just got married on March12th and it was a phenomenal wedding the staff was wonderful and accommodating making sure I was eating and taken care of ! “Had my daughter in laws baby shower here today. Tina and Jonathan were our servers and very attentive and professional. Food was very good. The omelets and pancake tower was delicious and were served when the guests arrived. Party started 1 pm… we all were enjoying the omelets but I noticed the salads were also brought out.. then the hot food to follow. The hot food should have been brought out at least around 2-2:30 because then there was a lull until cake.. felt kind of rushed… so was a little disappointed with that. But all in all everyone had a great time and the place and food were great!!“

They have an amazing package that was going to make this christening amazing. Well the day came and it was more than I could have asked for. The food, drinks, music etc was just so perfect and the Matra’d couldn’t have been more accommodating! I would have any type of party here again!!! “I belong to the Marconi Sons & Daughters of Italy Lodge. They have a social every 1st Thursday of the month. Dinner w/wine, beer + soda. Followed by dessert + coffee. Dancing w/ a great DJ. You do not need to be a member to attend. $30 for non-members.“

“Definitely 5-star service. I hired Up in Smoke for a family reunion in my back yard. All my pre-event dealings were with Jeff. He was so easy to work with. Willing to accommodate anything I requested. And since this was my first time using them I had tons of questions along the way. Jeff always got back to me immediately!! The menu had more than enough options to choose from and he even added chicken nuggets and fries since we had a ton of little kids. Worked with me on the pricing. Very fair. We had Alex and Bryan as our grilled and they worked no-stop for the entire time. Cleanup left not a trace. And I had tons of leftovers so plenty of food. Everyone was raving about the food! I highly recommend and would use them again in a heartbeat!! (Jeff also recommended wait staff who are not affiliated with them but have worked together often and they were great, too!) First time I’ve hosted a party where I was totally relaxed and got to visit with all the guests and enjoy myself.“

“Bought the Italian stuffed pork chops last night.. I should’ve taken a picture but trust me they were huge. They were amazing in the oven for about an hour they were tender delicious with some grilled veggies. These guys just get it Super quality worth every penny Bravo thank you guys“
