“Vegetarian options: They definitely had them!Kid-friendliness: We were able to bring my six week old niece. The restaurant was quiet and calm, the baby slept straight through our family’s meal and we didn’t feel weird about having the kid at all“
“All 6 handrolls in the set menu (salmon, yellowtail, crab, spicy tuna, scallop and lobster) were so fresh and a fabulous combination of beautifully prepared fish and warm rice! The perfectly poached egg in the creamy mentai udon is the best mentai udon I have had- much lighter but more flavorful than what you would find in Japan Village. This restaurant belongs on St. Marks Place in the city! May is so sweet… definitely excited to bring friends and family back the next time around!“
“A hidden gem! A quaint spot where you really feel like an insider that knows the best kept secret.... that Sushi Palace in West Hempstead is one of is not the best sushi spot on Long Island! Mai the owner makes you feel like family and if you go as much as I do she'll even remember your order lol I always recommend this place to any sushi snob such as myself. They use the freshest ingredients with Sushi and sashimi that literally melts in your mouth. They offer other yummy Japanese food as well. Support a local business that seriously delivers every single time, you will not be disappointed.“
“My Family and I are frequent visitors at Moca, we just love it there, from the food to the service to the atmosphere everything about this is place is a good vibe . If you decide to visit please ask for Pseong, he’s the best waiter there, he’s super nice and extremely friendly, my daughter, boyfriend and I really like when waits on us.“
“Today I ordered from here for the first time, trying a new sushi spot in my area. I have to say, amazin and fresh. I will definitely be ordering from here again. The service was also great. They forgot to put soy sauce in my order, simple mistake and they sent it over ASAP.I thank them for that. Recommended for great food and service!“
“A very good experience the food was delicious. Great customer service and not very pricey. Mufu hibachi and sushi is a must try. They are wonderful here. There’s great music here. In a great areaKid-friendliness: My kids enjoyed there experience here with the food and how fast they received their food“
“LOVE the poke bowls from this place. They certainly are not cheap on dumping the ingredients into the bowls. The owners are super nice and efficient. Small seating area, but nice and clean. We go ever week, would have gone more often if we live closer.“
“Sushi was pretty tasty, I ordered it for take out. The worker that was helping me was very friendly. One thing I would suggest is that part of their menu on Ubereats or some other platforms arent suppose to be on there anymore due to the fact that they don't do lunch special rolls anymore.“
“This place sushi taste unbelievable, never had delicious sushi like this place , I’ve been to so many places in Manhattan, but this place is top off all sushi , I was even passing by and I said let me try, after I finished I went inside the place and I thanked them, it’s fresh and delicious .Vegetarian options: They have pure vegetarian sushi“
“Cannot say enough good things about this restaurant! Quality is amazing. We order from here a lot, and they package everything so organized, provide chopsticks, soy sauce and deliver in a quick manner. Hot food we order is always still hot upon arrival! Highly suggest!“
“i loved there make your own bowl amazing i love island poke its great but i tryed theres and it blew it out of water very impressed and to the people out there lady with bad comment next time if your so picky go to store and have them make it in front of u and check it right away and when u brought it back you where given new food thats a++++++ to me thankyou for your awesome food hats off“
“Great deals for lunch specials. My favorite sushi and teriyaki dishes. They’ve had fresh ingredients every time I’ve eaten there. Yummy fried ice cream. The people working there are all nice and attentive over the phone and in person. My favorite sushi spot in the area, I even travel to eat there whenever I’m remotely “
“The staff was so respectful and nice they came up to you as soon as you walked up to the register? the bubble tea tasted so heavenly especially the vanilla flavor and the french fries was so good i expected it to be small but it was a WHOLE meal to eat and for a very cheap price too. Will definitely be coming back here soon ヽ(^o^)丿“
“Really enjoyed dining there! This place is a phenomenal Asian restaurant! Nice variety of options and veg options too. The service was super friendly , attentive and thoughtful.Loved the food and experience overall. Definitely worth a visit!“
“Very nicely decorated, great ambiance, great selection of music, service was second to none, and the food was excellent. Ordered shrimp shumai, steamed vegetables with dipping sauce, unagi don, sushi combo 2, and green tea/tempura ice cream.Good portions, reasonable pricing, fresh, and incredibly satisfying, will definitely be back again!“
“Came here with my husband and ordered a variety of rolls. All were great. In our opinion it’s the best sushi in the area Mineola/Garden City/New Hyde Park area but is a little pricey, especially considering the vibe and feel of the restaurant.“
“Stopped at Mira Sushi on the way to JFK. Atmosphere was great, very welcoming the second you enter, no wait. Menu is extensive, lots of delicious options for food and drink at reasonable prices. Food was absolutely delicious, everything was fresh and tasty. Service was great too. There was never a time where we were waiting to be helped. Employees are very friendly. 10/10 would recommend.“
“The service is great, the food is delicious and the presentation is even better! I ordered their lunch chicken teriyaki Benton box . A plate like this would cost $35 plus dollars in Manhattan but in Jamaica NY it was less than $20.The picture doesn’t include the Thai tea I ordered and the salad that comes with the bento box.The place is clean and the food presentation is exceptional.“
“Went to Osaka Japanese restaurant and had an excellent meal with the family. The service was quick efficient and friendly ,place was not too crowded. It is quite small so I wouldn't necessarily recommend groups of more than four people, but definitely a nice place for families and friends to enjoy a good meal. We had the chicken katsu deluxe entree & The Don beef bowl with rice. Both were cooked fresh to order and very tasty. We kept our drinks to tea and sodas, for a group of 4 the meal was reasonably priced. The overall atmosphere $$ ,was mild and calm. A good place for a good meal.“
“Fantastic experience! Defintely recommend to everyone. I've been here multiple times and will be back. Authentic Japanese flavors and fresh food! My only reasons for not giving 5 stars is because the service foh could be nicer. And it happens each time i go. I've worked in the service industry for years and I know what it means to be tired but the same brisk hurrying to finish and rudeness isn't acceptable. Otherwise it's Fantastic I recommend the boxes for dinner if your hungry! Ask to be seated in a booth for privacy and the back is pretty too :)Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie options and salads.Parking: It's right on Austin Street so parking will be difficult.Wheelchair accessibility: It'd fairly open and not too cramped. Check out the back!“
“Pros: Hostess and waiters were helpful and very attentive! Good and fresh sushi. I also had the rock shrimp appetizer which was really good. The drinks made without sake are good.Cons: The hot chicken wings was not much effort. It’s just fried large wings with Tabasco sauce on the side—if you want wings avoid $12 here and get the Chinese restaurants honey wings instead from any Chinese spot in the area. The drinks made with sake are not well balanced.“
“This place is incredible. Unbelievable flavors and I am shocked at the level of service and price as well. It is much better than other places and they consistently deliver quality food time and time again. I hope they can maintain the level of excellence as it feels too good to be true to have this local gem available to us. Protect and support this restaurant at all costs!“
“This is, by far, is the best Japanese food in the area. I know people who drive from Lynbrook for the food. I'm grateful to have them right here in Baldwin. Whether you dine in or to go, the food is fresh and absolutely delicious. They have great specials and have added new items to the menu. We don't go anywhere else. Try it for yourself. I guarantee you'll love it. Enjoy!Vegetarian options: You can find them on the menu or they will help you.Kid-friendliness: Quaint dining room with 3 booths and 2 tables for two. Easy and comfortable atmosphere.“
“First time we were here, for lunch, the food and quality was truly amazing. The pieces were above normal size and taste were amazing. Perhaps was because they just open for business? Our second visit it not as first time, the sashimi and sushi got smaller and now it is normal just like any other sushi place. I wish the restaurant focus more on quality and quantity, not trying to cut back and cut corner. This would bring back customers constantly....“
“This is a hidden gem in East Rockaway! The food is delicious. We ordered Kung Po Chicken and Gyoza. The chicken came with rice, wonton soup (so good!) and crackers. The gyoza was awesome. We’d definitely come back and use this place as our go-to restaurant for Asian food in the area.“
“We loved our dinner at Ichi. The place is very clean, pleasant lighting and music in the background. Extensive and interesting menu. Food arrived in 10-15 minutes. Fish tastes great and fresh. We ordered the tuna pepper avocado roll and salmon teriyaki bento box. This comes with side of salad and miso soup.Perfect quantity for two people and we enjoyed every item in the box ( shrimp tempura, shumai, corn). The salmon teriyaki had the perfect crunch to it.Highly recommend“
“The food is delicious and fresh. We also have food allergies and they call to double check, which is great. My only issue is the last two times I placed online orders they corrected the total and charged me extra for “add ons”. I had zero add ons both times. In fact the only thing I asked for was for them to NOT use sesame seeds or seaweed paper because of an allergy. So because they’re omitting something, instead of charging me the same or less, they charge more?? That doesn’t seem right.“
“GREAT KOREAN FOOD AND SUSHI ??This place is great for Korean food and sushi, all for a decent price between $10-15 per dish. My friend and I got a 3 sushi roll combo, tteokboki, and Korean fried chicken. They were all so good! There’s a huge parking lot with stores around such as Kung Fu Tea and Hmart. The waiters were attentive and the atmosphere and comfy and quiet!“
“We were skeptical of the menu change at first and almost walked out, but we decided to stay. We are glad that we stayed, because the sushi was incredible and very fresh. I'm glad we kept an open mind and would highly recommend this place to anyone. We will be returning.“
“Great sushi spot. It’s affordable and there’s so many food options not just sushi and sashimi but also LOTS OF entrees and appetizers. I had the red snapper sashimi, kani roll, vegetable udon, tonkatsu ramen, hamachi kama. Everything was good the sashimi was fresh and really good. Definitely worth it and will be coming back to try more things“
“I've been here three times with three different groups of friends and they've all loved this place. I always get sushi however one person I went with didn't eat sushi, but he loved the General Tso's chicken. They have a great assortment and diversity of selections on their menu. Their sushi is very fresh, beautifully presented and melts in your mouth. There are plenty of cooked options as well for people who do not eat sushi. The ambience is nice with a smaller sized dining room, and the service is outstanding. It's nice because the servers are on top of your meal/order without being on top of your table. I highly recommend this restaurant and can't wait to go back again.“
“Great spot to grab some sushi. They have loads of other dishes too like udon, yakisoba and bento boxes. There is a decent assortment of sake too l. We dined in and the wait can be a bit long depending on how busy the establishment is. There were a lot of people picking up phone orders. We ordered a bunch of rolls, some "otoro" fatty tuna nigiri and some apps. The sushi was decent, nothing amazing but wasn't low quality either. My favorite roll was the 73rd street roll which is topped with pieces of Mango and has a bit of jalepeno in it. The otoro nigiri was amazing though since the fatty tuna just melts in your mouth. Overall this a good spot if you are in the mood for sushi.“
“If you're looking for a fun and swanky sushi spot, this is it.There are big fake trees throughout that are absolutely gorgeous, and the lighting is on point. Really really cool atmosphere and decor. The wagyu sliders were absolutely incredible. They were so flavorful and perfectly cooked, and by far the best thing we had here. The sushi was really fresh and delicious, but it just wasn't super flavorful. The drinks were really creative and great too!Things are definitely on the pricier side though, so be prepared to spend a bit here. The staff was really friendly and attentive, and really made the experience fantastic. There's also a speakeasy side, where you walk into what seems like a hair salon. But right behind the vanity mirror is a secret sliding door into the bar. It was such a nice surprise moment, and the bar behind is as swanky as the rest of the restaurant.Overall a really solid place in the area!“
“Our go-to sushi spot in Long Island is amazing. My favorite dish is the udon katsu, but everything on their menu is delicious. The owner is very friendly and always takes the time to ask about your day and family, which makes for a warm and cozy atmosphere. It's located in a great area and I highly recommend it!“
“The portion size is quite large. The taste is good. It takes a bus from the Main Street to there. Reservation is better to order some dishes. The tip calculation is based on original price rather than the discounted price, which is quite ridiculous. So please be aware of the trick.“
“My wife and I came to Nomiya for a Valentine’s date. The food was good, though there’s definitely good sushi in the area for cheaper. Service was pretty lackluster. Nobody checked on us during the meal, they cleared our plates but we had to wait 15 minutes and then flag somebody down to get our bill. It’s quite a small restaurant and wasn’t full at the time.“
“I consider this establishment to be a true gem, only found in the neighborhood of Woodhaven, Queens . Not only is the food of superb quality, the atmosphere and service are top notch. Whether you enjoy sushi, teriyaki, or noodles; U-Me Sushi has you covered with a variety of authentic Japanese dishes. Give them a try if you ever find yourself on Jamaica Avenue and 85th Street, I highly recommend it.“
“I had such a craving for sushi and decided to try this place as its close by. I'm not sure why I haven't tried this place before, but everything was so good. Avocado salad, yellowtail roll, spicy kani roll, spicy salmon roll, yum! Will definitely be returning.“
“Katsuno is a true gem of a place. It’s easily my favorite restaurant of my life. I love everything about it. The food, the service, the aura of the place, the jazz that plays while you eat. The food is authentic, good quality and made with skill and love. The menu is quite traditional and simple made with beautiful technique and feels like you are in Japan. I am so happy this place exists in Queens.“
“Ordered delivery via Seamless, the food arrived hot and the amount was overflowing in the boxes. Definitely surprised us. Ask for extra teriyaki sauce because it makes it taste so good. The shumai was delicious. I think it would be better to either eat there and order for pick up because my only issue was the fees on the app. Definitely recommend this place and would be ordering more in the future and also telling friends and family to check them out“
“The Food is impeccable, as well as the service, High quality ingredients. The owner is also the nicest person I've ever met would recommend 10/10. Every time I'm here I feel like home the servers are really nice especially Elliot, and Linda“
“I recommend this sushi place. The worker is very nice and he doesn't waste any time. They don't take Apple Pay but you can Zelle them. I didn't know they didn't take it and he was super nice and patient with me. The sushi is the perfect size and it is definitely worth the price. I recommend the salmon avocado roll and the shrimp rice balls. Everything here is very fresh and he's generous with the amount of rice he gives and the big pieces of salmon.“
“The seaweed salad was a little fishy weird tasting. Maybe not that fresh. The unagi (eel) sashimi also had a weird taste.. The salmon sashimi was good. The Rock shrimp were pretty good just a little greasy. The 2 rolls ordered were ok. Probably won't order from here again unfortunately.“
“Cocktails are awesome! Food is good, but, very salty which is typical for Asian cuisine. Salmon was frozen, not fresh, and foe the price, that is disappointing.Cleanliness can be worked on. Floor and bar top is sticky. BATHROOM badly in need of upgrading, and CLEANING!“
“Great Sushi and Food. Quick service. My gotoo is definitely the poke bowl because you can’t go wrong with that. They have a great playlist playing. Dining in can be cramped and hard to get a table but it’s nice. Food is good for both take out and dine in. Reasonable prices. Overall great food and great place which I highly recommend.“
“I was at Inatome tonight my food was great, the atmosphere was great but there's this manager lady all she does is yell at the workers.workers. You can hear this little woman and she sounds so abusive who can work with all of that yelling at people.. besides that we enjoyed. Great place for “
“Our food was cooked fresh to order from their very clean kitchen. The burger came in a neat wrap that kept my hands clean. Having rice as a “bun” was a new experience for me and I throughly enjoyed and it’s gluten free. I also had the Bar Fried chicken and they were crunchy, juicy and tender. I will definitely be back.“
“Amazing food, ordered here in the past and had the best Japanese food I have had outside the city. Hell, they are in my top 2 now and the 1st place is a 5 star place. Perfectly prepared, flavors are on point and freshness is there. Great portions for the price and I hope they only get better. Next time I go, I'll add some photos to show you how good it looks.“
“Def 5 stars for the fantastic sushi place. Kaji's food and ambiance was very nice with a large full bar and we always enjoyed our family dinner there. Kaji is the only one spot in GC that my family and I will go for Japanese food for years and years. They have a pretty decent lunch menu and catering platter. Su & Sa for 2 or su for 2 are very fresh and great presentation which came with 2 special rolls. All lunches and entree come with soup and salad. Over all, we always had great service and the best sushi ever at kaji. Highly recommend to others. Free parking is available in the rear of the building and outdoor seating also available. 10% off via online ordering for pick up or delivery!!!“
“the Mexican and Godzilla rolls were perfectly executed. the jalapeno bits were a perfect topping for both (I'm a sucker for a bit of spice). the sushi taco was a bit of a let down. 1 raw salmon taco and 1 raw tuna taco both with a tiny wedge of lettuce, tomato, and avocado. I removed the tomato and avocado because I'm not a fan of either (don't kill me!) which only left the sushi and lettuce in the shell. the sushi was not seasoned so it seemed very plain/flat. that is why I took one star off the food ranking but because every other facet of the experience was so enjoyable I still gave a full 5 star general ranking. I would def return (and maybe just add some sauce to the taco)“
