“We got here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon just before it got busy. It’s a small and tight space with friendly service. The best things we tried were the shrimp rice rolls and watercress dumplings in pork bone soup - absolutely well made and really delicious. The quality and execution of the food today was much better than our previous visits. Highly recommend for a casual lunch spot.”

“Nice family restaurant. My first visit & taste of S. African french cuisine. Not too many place can offer good food at a reasonable price. This place does. Service was good. I had the Escargot & Tunisian Sausage. Both good. I like french food, but don't have it often since it's very rich. My hubby enjoyed the broiled Lamb chop. We shared the chocolate mousse torte. It was perfect, not too sweet. The flavors of the meal was spot on. Not overly salted, sweetened nor was there msg like most restaurants these days. Overall, I would go back & recommend this little gem. Our friend, long time patrons of La Baracka, had the AYCE lunch, which they enjoyed.”

“Honestly parking here is HORRIBLE because it’s located in a shopping center with a few other businesses/ restaurants so I would say best to park outside the lot. I ended up parking 2 blocks away which was far for this area. The cafe is small and can easily be missed. They’re a lot of seating and wasn’t busy so service was quick. They’re blueberry matcha was a special and when I received it I didn’t think I would like it as much since I’m not a fan of anything with pulp and the blueberry had pulp bits but you can tell it’s super fresh. After my first sip I can’t wait to go back for more because it was THAT good. Probably the best blueberry matcha I’ve ever had. I love places like this - little hole in the wall spots that just slap! Would recommend but it is far from me so I would have to make the 25 min drive (without traffic) just for this cafe. Wish the matcha was a little stronger so I would probably do double matcha next time but it did work well with the recipe for the drink. Would highly recommend giving this a try. I saw they have strawberry matcha too so maybe I’ll get both next time”

“I’ve been here several times, and this place never disappoints. My absolute go-to orders are the Grandma and the Soy Garlic fried chicken. The Grandma Flavor is highly recommended—it’s incredibly crispy, fragrant, and the spice level is just perfect (Of course only if you eat it while it’s hot). If you love spicy and crunchy food, you can’t go wrong with this one!

The Soy Garlic flavor is also amazing and filling, especially since it comes with perfectly fried rice cakes (tteokbokki). I also tried their fried calamari rings; they are crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and surprisingly not greasy at all.

As for their boba, I personally would say it's solid and absolutely better than big chains. Great food, nice people, highly recommend checking this spot out if you don’t mind wait a bit!”

The young man at the register was incredibly kind and welcoming, and the person who made my iced strawberry matcha was also very nice. By the way, the drink was delicious! We left feeling really happy and appreciated as a customer. Sometimes great service goes unnoticed because everyone is rushing, so I wanted to take a moment to recognize these employees. “I found out about this place from a coworker of mine who generously brought in a box of assorted buns to the office. I quickly became a fan and started going there regularly. They're sticky rice pork buns are great and the regular pork buns as well. I haven't tried everything there but so far Ive enjoyed what I have had. During the summertime they sell an iced tea with hibiscus and berries that's really good. They have bun options as well that you can take home and steam yourself. It's a very small place with some seating but I always take mine to-go. The employees are extremely friendly and the establishment is always clean and organized. I come here often and I know some of my co-workers do as well. Its very affordable. I've even seen this place featured from influencers on Instagram and it's well worth a visit.”

“Got the combination meal of general tso's, pretty delicious. Not overly breaded and plenty of chicken. Parents had shrimp with garlic and they loved it. Ordered as takeout and took maybe like ten or less minutes.”

“Called the other night to confirm the store hours, and a young gentleman named Joseph promptly answered the phone and gave me the information I was looking for. (The store is open 7am-10pm every day, apart from Christmas and New Year’s Day, when they are open 7am-8pm.)

I came in close to closing, and was greeted by a festive “PB” display! Couldn’t help but take a picture, it really adds to the holiday spirit! The tall, young cashier with the brown hat was efficient and friendly. The store was clean and the products were organized.

Definitely recommend for dinner parties, will return for dimsum. Also there is parking located in the back, very convenient.”
