“When I found out this family business is co-owned by a fellow Queens College Alum, I had to come!!! It's so inviting and the hostess (sister) was more than accommodating. We were seated quickly and we were able to see the menu both print and via QR Code. We (my husband and I) loved the drink we had as well as the Aji Galina and Arroz Chaufa con Pollo. Extra sauces and a small corn based appetizer was given right away as well. I also appreciated the clean bathroom, which has a urinal and normal toilet, also ADA/wheelchair friendly. The music was excellent too. The fact that this is also family friendly is the ultimate selling point. There's something on the menu for everyone. I will definitely come back with my in laws! This is the freshest, best Peruvian in NYS!!! I WISH YOU ALL THE SUCCESS AND DECADES IN BUSINESS!“

I had the ceviche de pescado, chaufa de mariscos and arroz con mariscos. Super fresh and flavorful. The drinks and food complemented well and the dessert was the cherry on the cake! Thank you Carlos! The staff is excellent- the food is delicious- the drinks are strong ( they have HH too!). “Without a doubt, the Ecuadorian cuisine in this restaurant is very tasty. The atmosphere is very calm and comfortable to spend time with family and friends. I like to visit during Happy Hour and cool off with a margarita. Excellent service, Gil is a very attentive worker, very friendly and every time she serves me I feel comfortable since she always serves me with great kindness. I recommend this restaurant 100% and ask for Gil, she and her team will make you feel at home.“

“Aesthetically appealing on arrival. When we first arrived there was no hostess and we stood around for about 5 minutes before we had to flag down someone to seat us but, once seating the food came fairly fast and and servers were more attentive. Food is decent pretty much the same across all of your establishment. The green sauce is always a hit. Also had the chicken empanadas and for some reason they have olives In them ? first time for everything I guess but I’ll stay away from the empanadas from now on.“

“Amazing food :) some of the best, if not the best, Peruvian food in nyc ❤️ tastes like some of the good stuff you can find in Lima. The wait staff is so friendly and lovely. I took my friend here for the first time and he fell in love with the cuisine. You won’t be disappointed if you come here :)))) xo “

“I find myself coming more and more to this hidden gem. This place stands out from its counterparts due to its fresh food and fantastic service. You might have a slight longer wait than in other places but!! the food is done to order and not sitting under a heating lamp.Adding this place to my weekly rotation for sure. I’ve ordered delivery from Warique at least five times now and, if done/ordered within a reasonable distance , it gets delivered quite fast.I’m looking forward to trying to the rest of the menu.“

“Best Peruvian food in Long Island!! When craving peruvian food i don’t mind taking 45min ride just to get there, because is worth it! Its so hard to find the exact essence of peruvian cuisine and this restaurant knows how to do it. Meet this place back on 2020 and every time I go they exceed my expectations, polite, friendly and respectful. Food is the best!! Cabrito & anticuchos con rachi my favorite!!“

“Love this Peruvian restaurant. Had Lunch with family & friends after some massages, the restaurant was nicely decorated & the staff super friendly. The bar area was nice & there was a big screen TV with a little stage for singing or if they have an event I guess. Some of the staff spoke English but the majority spoke Spanish. The food was amazing! We had drinks, appetizers, main courses & even dessert. The portions were generous & everything was very tasty. I would definitely be back! Read the menu as there is a 4% up charge on credit card versus paying cash! Also gratuity is included in the bill.Kid-friendliness: They had lots of kid friendly dishes“

“The flavors here are unique and amazing! My party of 2 ordered 6 tapas and the churros for dessert, which came out to be a perfect amount of food. The most outstanding dishes were the lamb chops, soft shell crab tempura, and warm mushroom salad, but everyone was quite excellent! I'll definitely remember this place for another special occasion!“

“Delicious Peruvian Chinese fusion plus some typical Peruvian dishes. We stopped in on for lunch, and figured we'd try one of each. The fried wontons (wonton frito), were crispy and the spiced meat filling was unique and delicious, as was the sweet dipping sauce. The lomo saltado entree was luscious, tender beef, tomato and red onion flavored with cilantro (which I don't always love) in brown gravy over French fries and with white rice too. My husband soaked up every bit of leftover gravy with his rice. The owners are friendly, but speak mostly Spanish, so be prepared to point if you don't speak any. They were kind enough to gently correct my very rusty Espanol. The place is bright and clean, including the restroom. We'll be back.“

“The Portobello Saltado was excellent. So was the Margarita. The waiter was great. A few issues. The Portobello Saltado is on their online menu. It’s not on their restaurant menu. I was told sometimes they don’t have portobellos. Ordered the avocado salad. They don’t have avocados. Ordered two mojitos. Out of mint.Vegetarian options: Portobello Saltado was excellent.“

“Loved it!!! Bread with Chicharron, ceviche and its Good Tamal!!! the next time they realize to place their sweet potato. “I ate here for the first time yesterday(1.22. 2024) around 4 pm. The waitress was courteous and knowledgeable about Peruvian dishes. I had in mind to order tallarínes verdes however she let me know they had seco de carne ( which not too many Peruvian restaurants have). I decided to try it and I was delighted. The meat was soft and fresh. She also offered hot drinks and to my surprised she offered Emoliente which is also another drink I have not found in Queens and it was delicious!I have always said it , a good restaurant depends on good chefs, the treatment is essential but the cooking crucial. I am a big foodie and I am always trying to find yummy Peruvian spots. The place was cozy and thankfully not overcrowded. The tamal I ordered was also super homemade, made me feel as if I was in Lima.Hoping you guys soon make Aji de Gallina and Carapulcra !Excellent service and amazing food ??“

“It is a very small place with 3 tables to accommodate like 12 people. The food is excellent. A lot of people take out. The portions are very big. The lunch specials they charge $15, which includes a large, tasty soup, salad, potatoes with cream, rice, and meat. I had the fried chicken. Go, give it a go!Parking: It's the strip mall parking in Staples complex.“

“Being a peruvian giving four stars is a huge deal for me. Especially considering I love cooking peruvian myself. I'd recommend their Lomo saltado a Peruvian must and their Arroz chaufa. Definitely get one of the Bundles if you're coming with a large party. Their aji is a bit lacking and they've raised their prices quite a bit over the years which is understandable but at the same time their service should reflect it to an extent. I work in the service industry and would expect better service basics. IE. More menu knowledge and friendlier service as well as water refills. With that being said I'd still recommend and enjoyed it having ordered out and dined in dozens of times.Vegetarian options: Salads your usual.Parking: It's right on queens blvd so parking is trickyKid-friendliness: Defintely kid friendly fries chicken not too complex“

“Food is spectacular! The chicken always rocks, the seafood platter (JALEA) is a dream to see and to eat. The secret hidden gem. Here is the whitefish and the pickle onions. Everything else on the platter is delicious! The CHAUFA rice is well seasoned and flavorful! Not to mention how good the fried plantains are (crunchy). But the most important thing on the entire table is the green sauce. You could put that stuff on a shoe and I would eat it. It is absolutely spectacular! Service is hit or miss. Sometimes you get a great waitress. Other times you get someone who is just not paying attention. But the food is so good, who cares. Prices have increased sharply but that's just part of this ridiculous inflation we're living with. Highly recommend this place.“

“Ok this is my second time coming here and this place is legit. The one star reviews seem like very entitled opinions. Sometimes living in America it's like we forget to check our unrealistic realities at the door. There's not really parking they do have mini lot around the corner in the back but it's not much. Keep that in mind when coming here. This food is authentic and good. Point blank period. This place is very mom and pop, it's not fine dining it's like a family environment. Don't get me wrong I can understand the frustrations people have when they place orders etc. however this goes back to my aforementioned...entitled. The food was good, really flavorful I had : Camaroneros Al Ajillo - overall the sauce was made well and was seasoned well, very light hint of spice nothing to worry about. Slices of garlic which I enjoyed. Good for the soul and immune system. But if it's not something you like don't order. It came with yuca in which paired really well with the plate. The rice goes with the dish and again I enjoyed it. The shrimp were cooked well, not over or under. It was a comfort meal that landed well. I didn't feel tired or greasy when I left. I didn't feel nasty after eating it. Again people compare we all do, but this place is good. I definitely recommend it. Again it's mom and pop, do not expect fine dining or perfect customer service. However the service is very kind and welcoming nothing wrong about it. The staff was pleasant and attentive, couldn't ask for more. You get what you put out. Positivity will always reverberate.“

“The food here was so good. We tried the Jalea that comes with an amazing onion salsa, salchipapas, arroz chaufa pollo and chicken empanadas. The side sauces: aji verde and aji amarillo were so so delicious. The best part of all is that the chicken they serve is HALAL! The restaurant is very nice and neat. The host and the servers were so so sweet. As someone who doesn’t speak Spanish, I felt so welcome. I will be coming back for more!“

“The BEST rotisserie chicken in Elmont! Even my vegetarian family members rave about the smell alone in the car when we get takeout rotisserie chicken and say it's the only time they've considered eating meat again. It is well seasoned and though it's getting pricey, the chicken is consistently good. The place is small but clean and the staff aren't necessarily chatty but not rude. I always miss this chicken when away from Elmont. Haven't ventured into the rest of the menu, but the chicken with rice and beans is my go-to.“

“I cant say enough nice things about this place. First of all...they have GREAT burgers! They are fresh, grilled on fire and the brioche buns are delicious. This is one of my favorite places in the area!!! Try it tonight!“
“I'm shocked this restaurant doesn't have more reviews! This is truly an authentic and underrated Peruvian spot on Long Island. This location was formerly known as The Inkan Restaurant & Pisco Bar, but it had closed some time in 2021. Latino Café & Bar replaced this location afterwards (different owners). They have Peruvian fare as well as some Latin American dishes. I've been wanting to try this place for a while and finally decided to order lunch from here today. For lunch, I ordered the Lomo Saltado and a Chicken Empanada on DoorDash. The food was piping hot when it arrived and tasted so fresh! The steak was nice and tender. All of the food was seasoned very well. I also loved the spicy green sauce that came with my empanada. The food was very reasonably priced as well. I'll definitely be giving more dishes a try from this place. I highly suggest you do the same :) *Note* This restaurant makes delivery orders only on DoorDash and Uber Eats. They do not make orders on GrubHub! My order on GrubHub had unexpectedly been cancelled, but when I called the restaurant, woman on the phone told me they don't offer GrubHub.“

“Truly a very good experience with this place, of which I have been a customer for more than 10 years, very varied food, with very good service, very reasonable prices, and very well served and served as every Peruvian likes. I give it and love it. I will always give 5 Stars to this place especially for that grilled chicken that resembles and is so similar to the chicken that one can only find in some neighborhood or on one of the streets of Lima“

“Great service! We enjoyed our dinner. It was my first time having beef heart and it was quite delicious. The chicken -pollo a la brasa is always amazing and so well seasoned. The skirt steak was good but I felt the portion of the steak could've been a tad bigger. The taxi tacu rice was yummy! Overall it was a satisfying dinner. We had their ice cream and it was unique flavors...I would recommend that you try it.“
