“Te amo Mission Ceviche! My Boyfriend took me here for my birthday. The entire staff treated me like a King! The customer service at this restaurant is absolutely incredible! The food is a gastronomical fantasy. Incredible flavors, fresh ingredients, truly mouth-watering meals. My Boyfriend is from Peru and he says Mission Ceviche is like coming home for him. He is practically obsessed with the two ceviche dishes (Mixto y Classico). For me it is the short ribs. O-M-G I don’t think I have EVER had a meal so memorable and incredibly delicious. To be honest my words do not do the deliciousness of this meal justice. Simply put...it is oh so good. The short rib is cooked to perfection and is so tender you can eat it with a spoon. The accompanying sides are the perfect compliment. The sauce that’s used...I hope they bottle it because I would buy vats of it! The rice with choclo is sublime. The tres leches rich, creamy and absolutely decadent. The food is amazing. The interior of the restaurant is gorgeous. The music is fiyah. The location is super convenient—a half a block to the subway and Crosstown bus. What really sets Mission Ceviche apart is the incredible Maitre’d Carlos. He treats all patrons the same...from babies in strollers to celebrities. He is so incredibly kind, humble, gracious, charming, intelligent, professional and inspiring. He is passionate and proud. It is awesome to see him keep the atmosphere ebullient and festive and the food flowing. He manages it all so effortlessly. I think it is because he honestly loves his chosen career and when you’re happy and you know it “work” is pure joy. That joy Carlos gives it to all of the Mission Ceviche patrons. This was not me and my Boyfriend’s first time dining at Mission Ceviche. We are now greeted by our first names when we arrive. Carlos is there and he has the biggest smile and we know that we are in great hands and know we will eat well. Every dining experience at Mission Ceviche is amazing! Go to this restaurant...make the reservation...you will not be disappointed...trust me! Bravo Carlos and the entire Mission Ceviche staff.“
“Everything was amazing!!! If you get one thing, get the artesano ceviche. I would honestly do a tasting menu of all ceviches. I also got the chicha morada mocktail, classic ceviche, scallop tiradito, amuse bouche, palette cleanser, corn dessert, and passion fruit sorbet. Make sure to get the cancha!!! Soooooo good!“
“Incredible dinner here with really creative plates blending Japanese and Peruvian dishes & ingredients. I loved that each dish was unique and unlike anything I’ve had elsewhere, yet nothing was too out there and the flavors were familiar/comforting. Enjoyed the corn croquettes, the risotto with shrimp & uni and the pork katsu with pesto udon“
“For an upscale vibe Peruvian place, this is the spot. Been here multiple times and the food is great with the downstairs vibes giving you upscale without needing to be all dressed up.The ceviche is a must get, as well as the jalea which is the fried seafood platter, Juanita’s chicken (very tender and not dry at all), as well as the lomo saltado (top pick for non-seafood ppl) which is the wok fried beef chunks and veggies. The prices are higher but the portions align with price paid in my opinion. Their green sauce is good and can be used on anything.Drinks were strong and tasty. Staff were friendly and bathroom was clean.“
“On Sunday, March 17, I went with the family for the first time to celebrate my son Adrian's birthday, we had a great time, the food was great. I have worked for a long time at the Hirohisa Restaurant in Soho, which has had a Michelin star since 2017 and I found the Peruvian food excellent. (I am Peruvian). I recommend it. The lomo saltado is really filet mignon and cooked to perfection, delicious male corvina, spicy shrimp, chaufa rice with chicken and not to mention the pineapple pisco sour the best, etc.“
“Glad we found this place while searching for a lunch spot in Harlem. The service was super warm and friendly (¡gracias, Pablo!), and we can highly recommend the Lomo Saltado and the Arroz Chaufa Mariscos, which were both delicious. I've already bookmarked this place and will definitely be back to try some of the other things on the menu.“
“I had such a great time at Dora's Thursday happy hour. Great place to reunite with friends. Food was good, drinks well priced and the owner was a delight. My steak came out a little less red than I like but the flavor was delicious. One of my friends requested to add chicken to her pasta and the owner was happy to accommodate and my friend loved her dish.Vegetarian options: No meat Pasta, salad and vegetable dishes were on the menu .Dietary restrictions: There was enough of a variety for all to enjoy.Wheelchair accessibility: There was a gentleman in a wheelchair that appeared to be able to get around easily. Spacious dining area.“

“This place is the best spot in uptown great food, beautiful eating area with an excellent service . I love this place since they open in our neighborhood is a family owned business that will exceed anyone's expectations if you can't afford traveling to Peru like me this restaurant is the closest thing to it. I highly recommend this place unbelievable Peruvian cuisine ceviche and lomo salteado taco Tuesday is a most . Affordable $$“
“Great music, great atmosphere. We had a good service, they forgot one of us and the others had to wait for us to eat all at the same time… Food was delicious, drinks too. I feel it was maybe a little bit pricey, specially on the drinks side but we had a great moment and we could definitely go back anytime.“
“This place is cute. It's small and cozy but plays really great music not only Spanish but English too Ans it's not even that annoyingly loud. The staff top tier, they're great and amazing they make sure you're okay within a reasonable time and they're like annoying about it. I only had appetizers and drinks and both was really good I can only imagine their food is as good as the apps. Overall experience was great I love it. It's a great place to go with friends to catch up or even with a partner to have dinner.“
“You have to come to this place! I studied Peruvian cuisine in Lima and this place has authentic food from there, fair prices with incredible quality!Tiger's milk is spectacular! You have to eat in this place! Authentic Peruvian food at affordable prices are waiting for you here!Amazing tiger's milk!“
“The food here is always 10/10 the rotisserie chicken is always crispy and delicious, and the rice and beans are always hot!! The little onion sauce is DELICIOUS!!! It’s spicy and makes the food super super good! I definitely recommend this place! Also the prices are really really affordable!!“
“Great authentic Peruvian food , the best ceviche that isn’t ridiculously overpriced in the city ! As a person who comes from South American background and grew up in Queens going to many Peruvian restaurants the flavor is definitely worth the trip to Essex Market in LES if you want an authentic ceviche mixto in Manhattan.“
“Started with two empanadas, then shared a half roasted chicken and four sides between two people - more than enough food. Chicken was juicy and flavorful, and the rice and beans were a nice complement. Yucca and plantains weren't so great, probably wouldn't order again and would instead opt for the avocado salad next time. My friend loved the signature green sauce - waitress was friendly and packed him some extra with the leftovers. Decent food at decent price!“
“Very good food served out of a taco truck. They have been on 57th st and 8th ave as of late. The food is solid. The tortas are the best thing on the menu. The salsas are good. The prices fair. The chichi morra drink was just OK though. Sort of like the Mexican hibiscus drink but not really worth $3. The guys are friendly and they accept credit cards. Usually a small line during lunch. But it moves fast.“
“I hated Lima beans, until I ate them at Contento. In fact, everything I ate there was perfection. My husband and I sat at the bar, which is exactly where I’d sit again. It’s cozy, comfortable and you can see some of the kitchen action as well as chat with fellow diners. The chef came out and helped us pick out a great bottle of wine. I use a wheelchair, which is what first attracted me to going to Contento. I appreciate feeling included. But I have recommended the place to friends and the next time I’m in New York I look forward to going back.“
