This was my first experience eating at Shamus. I ordered takeout Guinness battered fish fry '(on the first Friday of Lent). I thought the fish was excellent. The lobster bisque was very good although it was so sweet it was almost like a dessert soup. The warm bread was rich and hearty, full of flavor. My boyfriend and I went here for Valentine’s Day, it was very busy but everyone was super nice. They were out of a lot of stuff but we had reservations for late in the evening and it was incredibly busy. The waitress and I talked a little after and she told us that everything is made fresh which is a big reason why they ran out of stuff. Regardless, the food, the wait staff and the atmosphere was amazing, a little pricey but 100% worth it.

I have had many great meals at the shamus over the years but yesterday was different. I threw my dad a surprise birthday party and rented the upstairs. Anne was so great to talk to over the phone. Made everything so simple. The food we decided on was amazing. The Reuben egg rolls and southwest egg rolls were to die for. Steak sandwiches and roast beef- amazing.
