I have had many great meals at the shamus over the years but yesterday was different. I threw my dad a surprise birthday party and rented the upstairs. Anne was so great to talk to over the phone. Made everything so simple. The food we decided on was amazing. The Reuben egg rolls and southwest egg rolls were to die for. Steak sandwiches and roast beef- amazing. The wait staff, Robin and Danielle treated my family and friends so well. They went above and beyond. If you’re looking to throw a smaller party here don’t hesitate to book it. Such a classy, beautiful establishment.

This was my first experience eating at Shamus. I ordered takeout Guinness battered fish fry '(on the first Friday of Lent). I thought the fish was excellent. The lobster bisque was very good although it was so sweet it was almost like a dessert soup. The warm bread was rich and hearty, full of flavor. I'm sure the coleslaw was fine but it is the more vinegary type which just isn't my personal preference. Overall - I thought my meal was great. I am looking forward to eating there again. There is a lot on the menu that I'm eager to try like the Beef Wellington.

My boyfriend and I went here for Valentine’s Day, it was very busy but everyone was super nice. They were out of a lot of stuff but we had reservations for late in the evening and it was incredibly busy. The waitress and I talked a little after and she told us that everything is made fresh which is a big reason why they ran out of stuff. Regardless, the food, the wait staff and the atmosphere was amazing, a little pricey but 100% worth it.

After visiting on Friday night, I realized I hadn't reviewed The Shamus, our favorite restaurant for decades, and it's long overdue. The pecan crusted chicken never fails to delight - a consistently delicious choice. During summer, the outdoor patio offers a quaint setting for evening meals. The service is unfailingly friendly, and the owner's warm welcome and smile make every visit enjoyable. The Shamus remains a cherished dining spot for my wife and me. Make sure to call ahead for a reservation, especially on weekends, as they are an extremely popular spot in Lockport.
