“Best KBBQ in New York. The owner is super friendly and often comes to cook the meat at the table himself. The rest of the staff is also pretty attentive. Their Galbi and Jowl is my favorite in all of NY. The Bonchon is always fresh and they are not stingy in what they give. The meat is better than 100% of the KBBQ spots in Ktown and Flushing (I've tried A LOT). It's a little pricier than some of the other spots nearby, and obviously pricier than the AYCE spots - but, for the price it's amazing. My favorite restaurant in all of NYC, KBBQ or otherwise.“

“I had a delightful experience at Zaitun Halal on Parsons Blvd in Jamaica, Queens. The Chicken over rice was absolutely scrumptious—perfectly cooked with just the right blend of spices. The flavors were bold and the rice was fluffy and aromatic. Additionally, the meal came in very nice packaging which kept the food warm and was quite convenient. The service was friendly and the atmosphere inviting. A must-visit spot for anyone looking for top-notch Halal cuisine!“

“Their falafel mahshea might be my new favorite falafel in Queens. Stuffed with feta cheese and green olives. Served fresh and hot, perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. They have another version stuffed with eggplant and harissa that I’ll have to go back and try. Really enjoyed the chicken shawarma bowl too. The toppings and sauces made this a great dish — artichokes, garlic eggplant, feta cheese, garlic sauce and harissa. They also have excellent lemonades. I had the peach ginger and my husband had the Moroccan mint. They have a lovely covered backyard to eat in. Great choice for lunch or dinner near the beach.“

“This was the first time I had been to Rippers in eight years and it is still as good as it was in 2015. The burgers are so flavorful and juicy and came with a special sauce with cheese, lettuce and tomato. It tasted so good. The Fries were topped with salt, pepper and spices. They really have a great flavor and really don't need ketchup. The one thing is that they give you a very generous portion and are perfect for sharing. The view of the shore is amazing and it is nice to hear the waves crashing while you are eating. It puts you in the mood and you can just relax.“

I came in for brunch, and I think this place is super cute, and I got such a great view of the water while dining outdoors. Owen was my server, and he was very friendly. The service getting my food and drink was a tad slow, which was understandable as I saw the restaurant was having a private event inside. They have a decent sized menu with reasonable prices, and the Meatlover Omelet I ordered tasted really good. They also make a great bloody mary as well. I was surprised that I didn't have an issue finding street parking in this area as they don't have a parking lot. Overall, I was happy with my first experience, and I will definitely stop in again the next time I drive to the Rockaways.“

“Absolutely amazing! My daughter and I had an appointment in the area today, and being not from the area I asked for recommendations on the Long Island Foodies page. You did not disappoint!! We ordered four tacos (the crispy chicken was my favorite,) corn, jalapeño poppers and drinks. Every single item was amazing! Then the staff - we are outside and from the first staff member we met to the last the service was top notch! Extra thanks to the gentleman who made sure to bring me out some Fat Boy Sauce, because I mentioned it was our first time he said “you have to have it.” He was right. We did! And Sal. Every restaurant should have someone as welcoming and lovely as Sal. He made us feel like regulars on our first time. My daughter has already asked to take the hour trip back again next week, and I’m thinking about it.“

Dark, even during the day, with flat screen TVs playing K-Pop music videos and cozy tables, cushion stools with removable lids to put your belongings in. Great idea for coats and jackets as you will leave there smelling kinda smokey. After all, they're cooking your food right at the table. By the way, when you go - go on an empty stomach. You will eat!! They have an all you can eat menu and their options are plenty. With some help from my friend, having been there before; he helped choose some dishes and they were really good. They have dips and toppings, kimchi and other little add-ons to have with your food and as you choose your meats or seafood, the server places it on your cast iron pot, you watch it cook and they'll tell you when it's ready so you can enjoy. It's very family style as you're all eating off the same pot, but the server sections off portions of food to each guest so you'll have your own area to grab food from. The bulgogi and spicy pork were really good. The homemade spam was ok. It's a very unique and enjoyable experience. Definitely coming back here and bringing my son who would absolutely love this place.“

“My absolute favorite Greek restaurant! They have several locations, but I like the one in Bayside the best because I find it's not as crowded as the other ones. The parking here can be a little tough but there is a municipal parking lot about 3 short blocks away and you can also take public transportation there, it is about a block away from the Bayside Long Island Railroad station. Try their steak its my favorite, but I also recommend the octopus, and their fish is always fresh and delicious, but you really can't go wrong with anything you get here. This place is always super clean, the service is always great and they pour a great drink. Now, this is an edited review from my original because i just had to mention Arif, who is the general manager. When you meet Arif you will understand why this place is so great. The guy makes you feel like family and makes sure you have a top-notch experience. Well done, Arif. What else can you ask for! “The kimchi seafood pancake was filled with variety of fresh seafood and it’s definitely the best I’ve had. The oxtail soup was a little too bland for me, but the meat was cooked perfectly.Portion size is quite small, but they use fresh ingredient and you can definitely taste the difference.Worth the try and will be back to try other items!“
