“My friend and I went into Jill’s on a busy Wednesday evening. A very nice crowd filled the bar and seats. We started off with the Birria Tacos which were amazing and ordered a steak sandwich each. “The outdoor patio is lovely, for as long as it can be used. Indoors, is a little dark and not as inviting. The food was very well prepared and tasty, though the main dish was served too rapidly after the main dish.”

“Very homey feel here. Service was fast from the woman at the front who tended to multiple people. The value was excellent for breakfast, where I ordered from one of their deals. Ordered scrambled eggs with sausage and it came with toast (4 pieces), juice, and coffee. Very affordable and I'd recommend coming here. There's a parking garage and street parking on the hill to the right of this restaurant (free on Sundays).”

“Easily one of the best Mexican spots in Westchester. We brought the kids and they couldn’t get enough of the tacos, pupusas, and tamales. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. The food is super flavorful and authentic, and the whole place has a friendly, laid-back vibe. Great for families or anyone looking for a solid Mexican spot. We’ll definitely be back.”

Everything is great, but go for the recommendation of the owner when you order your tapas. Get a pitcher of sangria, it's authentic not too sweet.

The owner gives a personal treatment and the place is not big and fills up quickly. There is hardly a chance for a walk-in. Reserve your spot ahead of time, it's worth it!”

“We were able to snag a table for two at the last minute with the help of a very accommodating hostess. We spent 10 minutes waiting at the bar, where the bartender was quick, efficient and friendly. Our table was a cozy (not cramped) corner booth for two and the seating was very comfy. Laraine was our sever and she was great. Attentive without intruding. Quick without being frantic. Excellent excellent service. The food was delicious and served hot. There is nothing that we would change about our visit except we should have tried this restaurant sooner!”

Opinions about this Mamaroneck institution are as strong and mixed as their cocktails, but as various bars open and close all around it, this place stays true to itself. It's a neighborhood dive bar of the sort that are ubiquitous in my native Wisconsin, but rare gems in the NYC metro. Craft cocktails and small batch IPAs will not be found here, but simple mixed drinks and domestic drafts are always on hand. Darts and a few other bar games are cheap or free, and the beautiful original window storefront opens up wide to let the warm air in on summer nights. I have had some great memories here and it always feels like a sip of home.”

“All you have to remember is: Chicken Cutlet Chili Cheese California on a Wedge. Music to my ears. I crave this sandwich. The chicken cutlet is thin and crispy, the chili is spicy, and the mayo lettuce and tomato cuts the spice. It's truly the perfect sandwich and every bite leaves you wanting to come back for more and more and more.”

Over the weekend, we placed an order for a cold antipasto platter and a hummus plate, and I must say, they were absolutely perfect! The quality, presentation, and taste exceeded our expectations.
