I was recommended to this place by a coworker who lives near there! So, when I was in the area, I couldn't resist a chance to stop and try the empanadas that she raved about! Tried a few other items as well. The empanadas were very good and stuffed well, I only tried two different kinds one pernil, which was delicious, moist juicy meat, and the other was pastelon, which is meat mixed with sweet plantains, which is my favorite mix sweet and savory! MY GOD! The best empanadas and alcapurrias! The flavor just HITS!My father was born and raised in PR and when he took a bite he said “I feel like I’m back in Puerto Rico”. I visited today for the first time and will definitely be going back. Customer service was great as well.

All I can say is AY DIOS MIOOOO!!WOW this brought me back to my island. The alcapurria was outstanding, empanadas perfections, sorrullos delicious, rice and beans yummy! Everything tasted like it was made with love. I am so happy I found a restaurant that really depicts what our islands flavor is made of.Ive been going to island empanada for many years, and decided to give this place a try and wow blew them right out the water! Will definitely order again???
