“Second visit here, really good food and wine options. Refreshing to see this place sticking around, as there aren't many options around the lake....especially of this caliber.Shout out to Brooke for taking care of me at the counter bar (Nya:wëh Sgë:nö’.....Ja:göh!). Strongly recommended stop if visiting the area.”
“Such a fun spot! They have tons of beers, everything brewed on site. The Oh Fudge stout was our favorite. Located in a really cool refurbished barn. Phenomenal service. A must try if you're in the area!”
“Outstanding lemonade for a very reputable price. These little girls work so hard to make their homemade lemonade. Made with fresh spring water and real fruit. What a great thirst qencher on a hot summer day.”
“My husband & I were visiting the Chautauqua area and every other restaurant we went to was closed on a Saturday no less. We stopped at Docks by chance. The decor is not fancy but our meal was excellent and the service was great! We would definitely go here again.”
“Good ice cream but they lie on there menu small 1 scoop, medium 2 scoops, and large 3 scoops and that is a lie. The small is the size of 3 scoops the medium is 6 scoops and a large is as big as a football”
“A quaint, charming, cheap bar. Old school. Lazy dog included in the decorations. Outdoor pavilion with games, indoor pool table. Decent selection of cold beers in the old school fridge and a nice selection of pub grub.”
“Ate here tonight, happy to see they were open on eclipse day. Husband’s shrimp portofino was 5 star, my beautiful grilled salmon on pearl cous cous was heaven. The asparagus cooked perfectly. Thank you!!”
“What an amazing place to go. The place looked amazing and the aesthetic was outstanding. The service was great and just seeing how they treat you is an experience in itself. But the best part was the food. I can't describe how delicious it was. Keep it up!”
“The food was good overall. I had the chicken piccata and it wasn't what I expected. Just wanted to try something different. Should have gotten the prime rib since it is delicious. Service was great and the restaurant is beautiful inside and out.”
“A Very pleasant experience. Great Food, Great Service, Great atmosphere! Highly recommended if you love good-old country style breakfasts, or some newer idea choices, or a sweet roll you'll need a take out container to bring the other half home (THEY ARE HUGE)! Great place!!”
“There are some fresh & tasty whole foods options on their menu. The drinks are often readily customizable for any dietary needs. It has a friendly and welcoming atmosphere with a cozy hometown feel. The service is always top notch.”
“Drove by at least 100 times. Decided to stop as my wife was hungry. Literally enjoyed everything about the place. My chicken pot pie was so good I took their buy 10 get one free offer. Spent $35 on brunch and another $120 to go. I'll be back next Spring for sure. Oh yeah the owner stayed late so I could retrieve my forgotten cell phone. Highly recommend reservations and recommend through and through. Mike”
“Let me paint the picture for you. We walked in and to the left are 5 older gentleman having coffee and chatting away. Soft music playing and the bakery items right straight ahead. You know it’s a local favorite. We went headed over and found a seat. One waitress and she knew the names of the customers. She was quick to get our drinks and take our order. We had the French toast muffins. She answered all our questions and was very personable. You could tell she liked her job. The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was great, the service was excellent. We will definitely be making the trip again to eat here.”
“We stopped in over the summer for brunch and everything was delicious. The Iced Chai Latte was to die for, have to try their Oreo truffles. Vibe was cute, will go back whenever in town.”
“I was so excited to discover that our airbnb was only 8 minutes from Portage Pie while we were visiting NY for the solar eclipse. I've been a fan of owner Connie's posts in a pie baking community on Facebook for many years, so it was serendipitous that I was so close to her shop without even knowing it. We arrived on Sunday morning right at 11 when they opened. I was worried the selection would be limited since we did not pre-order, but they had many extra fruit pies and cream pies for us to choose from. We got an apple crumb and a cherry pie. The crust is so crispy, and the fruit fillings taste fresh and just like homemade. Our cherry pie was still warm when we got it. I highly recommend Portage Pie for quality that is so hard to find in modern-day bakeries!”
“Great food and reasonable prices, in a casual, friendly, atmosphere. Service is consistently excellent. The food is always very good and comes in generous portions.”
“Upon our arrival, we had no wait to be seated. The waitress told us we had perfect timing because they start getting busy around 9. The waitress was very friendly and enthusiastic to be serving us. The food took about five minutes to arrive to our table. The food had lots of flavor, and the syrup was warm, which is always great. My daughter said that five stars isn't enough for this wonderful breakfast experience.”
“No words. You just have to go see for yourself. Our server, Natalie, was great. And the owners also checked on us. Very humble people. There's a Bluetooth speaker inside each gondola.”
“Steak with Whiskey Cream Sauce, mash potatoes and snow peas. And a raspberry pie with vanilla ice cream. Amazing food, drinks and great service!!Parking: Free street parking out front or free parking lot around back”
“Felt so welcome when visiting during a rainy March weekday. My daughter and I shared a flight and Bavarian pretzels. This location is exactly what you want a winery tasting location to be like: large, open seating area with a large bar in the center; clean and shiny floors, walls, furniture; smiling faces who are willing to chat and discuss the wines; a gift shop with branded souvenir items, and just all around cozy environment even though it’s really large. They’re building an addition for events and more summer activities, so I look forward to visiting again during the summer.”
“What a charming and elegant place in Westfield! I would definitely visit again for great music and cocktails. A must-visit if you are looking for quality night life in Lake Erie wine belt.”
“Friendly bartenders. Cheap drinks. Pool table. They don’t serve food anymore but you can order from Lena’s next door and they will bring it to you at the bar.”
“Everything was excellent. Food was great, so was service. Right close along rr tracks, trains come thru fast. Can't wait to come here again and get a patio seat. Train Action!!”
“Larry's is a pillar of the community in Westfield! No frills, Cash only (there's an ATM just inside the door), simple but excellent bar food that comes out hot and fast! Their wings are incredible - I recommend the "Bernie's Special Sauce" On any given night there can be 2 - 40 people. There's the bar to the right that seats about 10, maybe 12? Then a bunch of tables/hightops/standing shelves. Bartenders are quick, nice, no-nonsense. No fancy cocktails here, basic brews, spirits, and great food! Light bar fare, burgers/wings/fried apps maybe a fish sandwich here and there. If you like wings and hometown bars, stop in for an hour and take in the scene. Only open evenings.”
“I was extremely comfortable and felt at home. The atmosphere is family-friendly, and the staff is extremely attentive. The food was delicious, especially the fries. The prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend ?”
“Amazing food, great manager, great staff. I highly suggest trying the frozen Chai and Stop Me it's like a morning treat in a cup.Parking: There is a parking lot and drive-thru around back. The parking lot has 35+ spaces, and there is plenty of free street parking.Kid-friendliness: The management and staff are incredibly nice to my kid and offer a small play area for the kids to have some fun in. My kid always gets excited when we dine in.”
“I've been a regular customer for years and the food has always been consistently good. Over the years they have always remembered me and the friends that I have brought in. They're very nice people. If there is a problem with this business, beyond being a little dated (which is easy to overlook), is the lack of a manager that would oversee the service and dining room issues. The owner is the cook, which explains the good food, but the inconsistent service, dirty tables and other service issues that others have complained about could be easily fixed if someone in authority was watching. Lack of management is their Achilles heal.(That, and a tiny $6 side salad which we were told was the same size as their garden salad which baffled one member of our party. They spent $17 on a cup of soup and a tiny salad. I was embarrassed for them because they couldn't explain the difference between the two salads on their menu. A manager could have fixed that - but I digress.)”
“I absolutely love this place! The fresh cut curly fries are amazing, and I always get a really good hot dog. The ice cream is also amazing and they make the best sundaes!”
