We live near by and moved from the city a while ago and happy to see a good Indian restaurant.Atmosphere:⭐⭐⭐It's pretty desolate around 7pm on a weekday, however I see they have a banquet hall so I assume it fills up over the weekend pretty well. Looked pretty much north Indian and had a mild dhaba vibe to it. They played good Punjabi raps of sidhu moose wala and it was hip!Service:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐The service is pretty good. The waitress greeted us, took our order promptly, and brought us our order in accordance to our request. The waiter and waitress came and checked in on us regularly to ask if everything is satisfactory, however I would love to see the same service on the rush hour.Presentation:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐The presentation of the tea was well done ✅. I appreciate the effort to serve tea authentically. Chicken 65 was served with no ketchup (I wish it was given on the side without asking for it as it is done in South India). Biryani was served with Rita, however I missed the onion & carrot salad with some lime on the side as it is supposed to be served.Taste: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Tea was outstanding , could taste the cinnamon and was robust.Chicken 65 lacked some spice.Biryani was alright, I guess I'll never get hyderabadi Kachi dum biryani, but I liked what they served.Overall:⭐⭐⭐⭐⅐I would certainly comeback to taste the rest of the menu.Thank you for serving us last night.Vegetarian options: This restaurant has a good vegetarian appetizer menu.Parking: Free parking right in front of the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: They a have small and nice kids menu.

Saffron is low key a local Indian gem in Middletown, NY. I love that when I come in sometimes it’s empty bc that lets me know I got there before the rush!! This place can fill up quickly!I’m here to talk about the most delicious way I’ve had cauliflower by far with the Gobi Manchurian. It reminds me of General Tsos Chicken from any Chinese Food spot and it’s drool worthy. Any of the naan breads on the menu slap and the mulligatawny soup is sooooo good.Tadka Dal is the yellow dish & I like mine spicy, they accommodate spice tolerance. I tried the Roti for the first time and it’s not better than a flaky roti from a Caribbean spot but it dipped in my dal well.

We had a great dinner here last week. I can't believe we didn't hear about them til recently. We had chicken Tikka masala which was a little different than usual, but really good. Shrimp Biryanis. Lamb Rogan Josh. All very good. Service was good but they were a little shorthanded. Owners came out to check on us too. We will be back!

Immediately upon arriving, we felt a very comfortable and warm environment. The host and hostess were very accommodating and made us feel quite welcomed. The recommendations offered by the host were excellent, tasty and very well prepared. The various ingredients infused in the selections were well thought out and made for a delightful experience.We really enjoyed ourselves and will return soon.
Always love to have my lunch here, great taste of everything and staff is really warm especially Akshdeep, he always treats well.

We have been eating at Saffron ever since it opened in Middletown years ago. As lovers of Indian cuisine, we greatly enjoy every item we try. The service is efficient and personable and the food is always fresh and tasty. I heartily give Saffron 5 stars.?

Saturday afternoon, ordered butter chicken and garlic naan, both delicious. The butter chicken was seasoned just right, I left no sauce behind. Staff was attentive. Bollywood music videos on the big screen, a bonus.
