Food was delicious, service for our party of seven was excellent. We really enjoyed ourselves. I had a tough time deciding what to order, and will be back to try some other dishes.

AOC has always been one of my favorite neighborhood spots. It has a warm, cozy atmosphere- with friendly attentive staff. Tuna tartare is my go-to app. The Coq Au Vin is always a winner—-& of course they have a great wine selection.

I ordered escargot and it was just okay, but not great. I usually love escargot but I wouldn't order it here again. Then I ordered a burger, but after over an hour of waiting I asked about it multiple times but they still hadn't started cooking my burger yet. Finally, another 30 min later they brought me my burger and it was raw even though I ordered medium well (and by raw, I mean it was less cooked than rare). I was disappointed because my server tried to gaslight me and say that it was medium well but it really was raw and my entire table of 7 agreed that it was extremely undercooked. Had to send it back to be cooked more. The waiter kept dodging our table and wouldn't give us any updates. Eventually almost 2 hours after ordering, I finally got my burger and ate it after everyone else at my table had already been done eating for a while. It was ok because at that point I was starving, but the flavor just wasn't great. I wouldn't order it again. I did not try dessert because it was so late by the time I finished my meal and my party was ready to leave, but I would hope that dessert would be better than the meals. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend this place. Giving it two stars because the food was edible but the service just wasn't good and the food wasn't great. I always feel bad when I have to post a review like this, but I just want to be honest about my experience so that people know what to expect from this restaurant. Very slow, not great service, and mediocre food...

I had gone to dine when they first opened and thought it was a good meal, nothing great. However, we dined there on Sat 4-7, I cannot say enough for how amazing the food was. The tuna tartare and muscles were incredible, the muscles were plump and the sauce was awesome. The lamb chops and veal special had and insanely good flavor! The service was good and receptive to the table. I will definitely be back again really soon.

It was my first time eating inside in awhile and at first we weren't too happy with the louder music that I don't recall previously. But as usual the food and service were superb and made up for the music which I didn't notice after awhile. Also prices were pretty hefty especially for a small glass of wine. But I live this place so it was worth it.

Had a lovely time the other night catching up with an old friend who was in nyc for the night. I got there just before the kitchen closed and they let me put in an order ahead. I snapped pics of the menu and sent them. Wine choices were excellent. Food very good and I loved the oysters. I was excited to find out my friend did mot like oysters so all for me. :). Service was fast. Everyone was very nice. Would def come back and if you have a friend you want to impress with your local UES knowledge, take them here.

Best escargot around, always order it! Walk-in for a casual Sunday night dinner & jazz trio was playing in bar … made for a romantic evening just steps away from our UES apt. Solid French food, everything is delicious & ambiance sweeps you away to classic Parisian bistro.

Truly on the mark French bistro style! Great menu choices with generous helpings that don't sacrifice quality for quantity, an appetizers can be a meal! Many points added for serving carbona with an egg yolk to mix in. Old school! Try the vegetable risotto with truffle oil. It is life-affirming. The drink pour is also generous.

It does get a bit loud on a Friday, but that's Happy Hour.

AOC East is a nice place for dinner, came here on a Friday night without reservation and it was easy to find seats. There are few tables but they have a long bar with tall chairs. This restaurant is a bit pricey considering the plates are small and quality is okay but I just went for a glass of wine and some small bites, so I would need to try more things on the menu to make a better judgment. They have tablets with the menu so you can see pictures and descriptions of each item.First I ordered a glass of BEAUJOLAIS which I quite liked, light body and fruity, good for some appetizers. Then, I ordered the FOIE GRAS TERRINE that comes with a little salad, and a little piece of toasted bread. The flavor of the foie gras was actually quite good and the portion is big, they could just give more bread since the amount of foie gras is actually bigger. The RATATOUILLE was a bit dissapointing, it needed more flavor and was a bit small. It comes with some Crostini to pair.SPANISH:AOC East is a good place to dine, I came here on a Friday night without a reservation and it was easy to find seats. I used to go here a lot before Covid when their prices were good and the manager didn’t yell at me. Then they raised prices and the manager got yelly. Would love to return when that guy goes away. Great place great concept. They have music… idk when. Probably good. I miss their mussels.
