Hands down my favorite sushi/omakase restaurant in Manhattan. For starters it's traditional japanese run by japanese and a literal mom and pop establishment - nearly impossible to find! On top of that, the food (not to mention the presentation) is amazing! So original, so delicious. One must - DON'T just show up - make a reservation! They only seat one table every 15-30 minutes (hello, there are only two employees doing everything!) and understand and respect that you can only sit at the sushi bar if you order omakase. Don't whine and complain when it's your fault for not understanding or following the rules.

This place is awesome. Waiting for the day for people to uncover this gem. They are consistent and everything is done right. Definitely no-frills, no fancy sauces or weird presentations. The way sushi should be. You aren't overpaying for lipstick on a pig like elsewhere. With that said, the fish is VERY good and very fresh. I would put it up there with the best of them. The chef and manager/waitress are happy to see you, they treat you like they are honored to have you. Love the fact that it's in my neighborhood and am now going at least once a week.
