I can't believe I had never been to Aretsky's Patroon before. It was outstanding. Superb service. Gorgeous dining room and bar. Classy and elegant. Civilized fine dining. Highly recommend.
Once you are nestled in you can't help but feel you are part of en exclusive club. I have been many times, always great but tonight I took a friend who had never been. His first words to me as we left were “we absolutely need to come back with our wives. That was amazing.” Food, service and ambiance are flawless.

Patroon is one of my favorite restaurants. Fresh oysters on the 1/2 shell were slightly briny and tasty. The Dover Sole and the salmon with beurre blanc were both delicious and we opted for the new potatoes sautéed in duck fat as a side. Heavenly. And don't forget to order the house made Parker House rolls! Dessert was a poached pear pavlova. Also excellent. Shout out to Stephan, the Maitre d' who took care of us!
