The bagels are average at best - on par with bagel carts, but slightly less stale. Of the four bagels I purchased, three had green dots on the bottom. It didn't look like mold so we ate them anyway, but I can't figure out what they are... it looked like ink drops. I had bacon and egg on a roll, a quintessential NYC staple, and they nailed it! The roll was fresh, the bacon and eggs generous. It was piping hot when I unwrapped the aluminum foil. I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast, rounded off with a coffee, light and sweet. Bagel Tree also has a comfortable seating area with both tables and chairs as well as stools along the front window. This place has fresh bagels and meats and Lox/fish. It stands out from most of the food venues in East Harlem. It's definitely expensively prices though. Prices you would find in Manhattan below 96th Street. It is worth the prices if you are looking for fresh food and bagels. Not certain if this place is dine in.
