Pastas are excellent. Pricing is reasonable for the quality and Manhattan location. Vibe is usually pretty nice too. The entire store is busy but typically you can find some place to sit.

Fantastic service and clean atmosphere. The staff is phenomenal.Very overpriced menu. $50 for the L’Ossobuco dish. Visually appealing? Yes. However the saffron risotto was overpowered by salt. The veal shank itself was tender and had a lot of juicy bone marrow. Seasoning just seemed off for this dish. The Risotto ai Funghi was the opposite. Well balanced flavor, but looked like plain oatmeal. For $26 the plating could be better.

Rude staff, the guy with glasses at the bar is horrible, very rude, shouldn’t be working with the public! Do not recommend

Very impressive Eataly shop closed to the Flat Iron building in Manhattan, several restaurants with different specialities like fish, meat, pasta or pizza. Location inside is very nice, possibility to book a table or to go there directly.

Food was excellent. Service was outstanding. And despite being in the midst of Eataly, the ambiance was still romantic, with some added charm. We will definitely be back. Extra props to our server who was extremely kind & attentive, as well as timely and efficient. He added a lot to our positive experience.

We love all the stations at Eataly. We loved the old shop in Bar's location. Usually food is great and with the price. We went and things were fine but just was small and ok. Will go to to the rooftop, pizza place and shop. Won't go back here. Service and people were great- no complains. Food was just a bit underwhelming.

I really wanted to like this place, as I've previously heard that this was one of the best in the Eataly family, but the food was quite underwhelming. Tried the cod, burrata, crudo and raviolis, and with exception of the raviolis, all was flat and flavorless. The wine selection was good but a bit pricey.
I had the wild mushroom risotto. It was creamy, tasty and so delicious. You could really taste the mushrooms. As a starter I had the prosciutto with the rustico bread. The bread is served Tuscan style with little to no salt, was fresh and delicious. It is served with some excellent olive oil. The prosciutto was very good not the I ever had. A little dry. Would return.

Bar Milano had undergone many avatars since Eataly opened. On Tuesday after a follow up with the dentist who said I could now eat rice I jumped with joy. Continuing my birthday celebration I went to Bar Milano and ordered the Wild Mushroom Risotto. I could have ordered the risotto with artichokes but I had to be mindful of eating soft food. Bread was offered and if I had known that it would cost the princely sum of $4, I would have declined. The server should have piped up to tell me that the bread was not on the house. Nevertheless I tore off the soft middle part and dipped it with olive oil. The risotto didn't need too much time to cool down so I started eating and enjoyed it immensely. I polished the plate clean. Bar Milano is opposite the live fish counter and customers walk up and down to the other parts of the store. Surprisingly it's quiet inside. It felt like I was the only person here.

Food was delicious but some items were overpriced. For example, the prawn appetizer only had two prawns and a lot of cauliflower for $20 and the bronzino had two very small pieces of bronzino fillet for $40. The best thing on the menu is the veal milanese - it was fried to perfection, juicy, and tender. Service was friendly and accommodating.

A+ market with average restaurant experience. Below Average entrees: Overcooked rigatoni and over sweet tomato sauce; tiny portion of fish; squash ravioli filling was sweet instead of savory. Excellent: appetizers (buratta, bread and olive oil); cocktails (Negroni), and dessert (tiramisu). Cafe Milano is advertised as quiet oasis inside the sprawling market, and it could be if they turned down the loud bass-heavy dance music. Service was very attentive, borderline rushed, even though there were a few open tables and no lines.
