Great Chinatown-style restaurant in Hell's Kitchen, just a few blocks from the Theater District. If you're looking for good, inexpensive, plentiful Cantonese cuisine, this is the place for you. Try the roast pig and roast duck over rice, and roast duck with wantons noodle soup.
This was a surprise find! Our group of 9 was in the theater district and were looking for a place without a long line/seating. Big Wong is just two blocks from the Barrymore Theater and a solid place for a meal. My husband and I split two soup dumplings - the pork and the crabmeat/pork. This was pretty good! Get ready to be disappointed- or wowed - depending on what you order. I ordered jumbo shrimp with walnuts. It was a perfect blend of quality (huge) and quality (large succulent shrimp lightly coated and cooked to non-rubbery perfection topped with not-overly-sweet walnuts and surrounded by an army of broccoli.
