Food King

I still fondly recall when the D was inoperable on the sign of the restaurant as a tenant a few floors above. "Foo King" the restaurant in early 2010 mostly only known to the neighborhood locals around 10th Avenue/Hell's Kitchen.The unpretentious mix of casual Chinese food mixed with top of the line fried chicken keep the place bustling in the middle of the day. food was ok. general tso's chicken tastes doughy and the sauce wasn't the same. spare ribs were salty. mini spring rolls weren't that good either. i won't be ordering from them again. I'll just have to wait for the pandemic to be over so I can order from my usual place. oh and they have a $2 delivery fee that I wasn't told about when I ordered. I don't like to pay for delivery when I already have to tip. find another spot if you can

This is my neighborhood family owned Chinese restaurant. I have been eating here since I moved to NYC in the late 80's. The food is fresh and simple. I don't bother experimenting with the places on 9th Ave because you can be sure to be disappointed. I stick to this place. The food is great!!! Thank you for feeding me!
