My girl friend and I wanted to stop by a hotel lounge/bar before heading out to our typical spot on a Friday night. Glad we stopped by to check out what the Gansevoort has been up to. There's a little coffee/cocktail waiting area in the lobby when you first walk in. We headed to the roof to grab a cocktail and decided to stay inside. The view is great if you choose to sit outside. The sitting area inside is pretty small with two large tables, back wall sofa seating, bar seating, and small tables for two people. Our service was excellent! He was so funny and kind. Our hipsters was very nice too. My friend got an espresso martini and she loved it. I got the sex & flowers cocktail and it's so sweet and tasty. I'm the type of person who loves fruity cocktails and juice. So I recommend that if you also love juice and fruit flavors. The cocktail was very beautiful and bubbly. Both of our drinks were strong.

It's been a while I was here. Was in the neighborhood, so decided to come in for a drink with my partner. We order a bottle of sparkling water and two glasses of Barbera de'Asto, it was undrinkable. The bottle must have been opened for a while. It was oxides. We are in the restaurant business, so we know what we taste. The temperature on the wine was warm. It was a disappointment. We just had one sip, paid and left.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of trying to book a holiday party at the Gansevoort Rooftop, and I must say it was one of the most disappointing encounters I've ever had with a business.We were excited to host our party at the Gansevoort Rooftop based on the positive reviews we'd heard from friends and colleagues. However, our enthusiasm quickly turned into frustration and disappointment when we tried to make a booking.Despite multiple follow-up emails and attempts to communicate with Lisa, the person responsible for bookings, we received absolutely no response. This complete lack of professionalism and courtesy is simply unacceptable.In the world of hospitality, one of the most basic expectations is timely and respectful communication with potential customers. Unfortunately, this fundamental aspect was severely lacking in our dealings with the Gansevoort Rooftop.Due to this experience, we've decided to take our business elsewhere for our holiday plans. We also feel compelled to share our experience with others, so they are aware of the lackluster customer service at the Gansevoort Rooftop.In summary, our experience with the Gansevoort Rooftop was extremely disappointing, and we cannot recommend their services to anyone. We hope that this review serves as a warning to others and encourages the management to improve their customer service.

Rude servers and hosts. Overpriced drinks, but looking good. We are ordered to sit at a certain area outside and we’re not allowed to open a door to go anywhere else. People were being yelled at for opening a door. Serious decrease of standards. What a shame.

Very bad experience!! We had reserved a table, when we entered, the host told us that we could choose inside or outside. We spent 5 minutes taking in the views on the terrace. When we wanted to sit down there were several free tables, however they told us that we couldn't because we had already ordered drinks at the bar. unusual. I will not return and I do not recommend it. drinks expensive with bad quality.
Stayed at the property and came up in the roof top. Very nice place but the food was a little disappointing. Not up to par in my opinion. Nice rooftop though, nice views etc.

Went here on a June weekend late afternoon. Not busy at all but service was a little lacking. Drinks are good but expensive. The ambiance was nice. It did get windy when the glass doors to the balcony seating were opened. I would go again.
