I have no words. We went for my girlfriend’s birthday and enjoyed the spring menu. The service, menu, and ambiance was absolutely terrific. Our sommelier was so gracious and the staff was so attentive, I cannot recommend this place enough. Please visit!
The location is inside a hotel. Uni chawanmushi is the best dish in all courses!! Simply amazingly executed and the best chawanmushi I’ve had. There are some “fillers” such as the rice tasting at the end. Overall very good experience.

Convinced 3 of my friends to dine here with me because I was craving kaiseki. I really feel like most people's perception of higher end Japanese food ends at sushi, so exploring and inviting other people to explore spots like Tempura Matsui and Torishin and Hakubai is something that I've had a lot of fun with.
