Great sushi! Great ramen!
Bustling lively place is very popular, so there’s very likely to be a wait but the time seems to fly by really quick.
An extensive drink menu features some fun options:
• spring special cocktail Almost Innocent ($16) is refreshingly plumy;
• kirin frozen ($8) is a fun way to drink an otherwise uneventful lager.
Menu boasts multiple great options perfect for sharing (website menu has pictures):

The food is delicious, especially the kimchi cream udon and the karaage. The tuna tataki wasn’t bad, but I wouldn’t order it again. Prices are fair. However, the restaurant is very noisy and they staff are very eager to clear the table. Don’t come here if you’re looking for a romantic date. I could barely hear myself and think I’ve spent more time at fast food restaurants.

Izakaya MEW is a lively spot serving Japanese cuisine in a cozy basement setting. The menu offers a range of dishes, including chef's skewers, gyu don, kimchi cream udon, and more. The restaurant is known for its unbelievably tasty and unique food, with dishes like the kimchi cream udon being rich and flavorful. The gyoza and yellowtail carpaccio are also standout items—fresh, well-balanced, and beautifully presented. While some items like omu soba and hotate carpaccio may not always hit the mark, the overall quality is high. The service is quick and friendly, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere makes the experience enjoyable. The cozy vibe can be quite loud, and the basement location means wheelchair accessibility is limited, along with small restrooms. Despite these limitations, the pork curry remains a standout dish, and the authentic Japanese touches make this a great place for a meal.
