Been here a few times now and every time we leave disappointed. From drinks arriving 30-45 minutes after ordering, to food being overcooked, watery and inconsistent among the table. As a Brit, we are forever craving a hearty pub meal but it never hits the spot. I received an email about the Easter Sunday special, so we decided to book. We booked the second slot of the evening (5:45pm) and as we went to order they mentioned they had sold out of the Sunday dinner… great they’re busy but to sell out at the beginning of the booking slots??? We ordered the lamb dinner, which was drenched in watery gravy and a side of mint sauce that again was super watery. It came with one roast potato (which was soggy from the ‘gravy’) and a tiny amount of shredded cabbage, which my boyfriend didn’t even get until we asked. At this point we still didn’t have our drinks or cutlery? the atmosphere is always lively but the food, absolutely shocking and service is terrible. Really wanted to like it here but after three visits, it’s a no from us. Unfortunately no photos because the food is never worth a quick picture

The food was just okay, and the service was not at all okay. The tuna tartar was delicious but the veggies that came with it were not good, the grilled salmon was bitter, the mashed peas were kinda tasteless, the fish and chips was decent, the risotto tasted good and the desert (the date cake with toffee melt) was pretty

Really solid fry up. Reminiscent of a decent cafe back in the Uk.

Nice atmosphere and the food is decent but it’s just so overpriced. Not worth it.

Second time coming, first time coming for dinner. JWF is quickly becoming a favorite! Fantastic service, lovely ambience and lighting, not too loud or crowded but clearly popular. Food was great, as were drinks. My friend ordered a cider and I had a ginger mocktail (can't remember the name). Very well done! For food, my table got the ceviche, fish (which was massive) and chips (perfect), mushy peas (delicious, was glad I cautiously tried them), and the special pie of the day, steak and oyster pie. The pie was better than any steak pie I've had- buttery, crisp crust, a rich sauce, and a really lovely, savory filling. We were absolutely stuffed by meal's end so I ordered a sticky toffee pudding to go, which was absolutely spot on. Can't recommend this place enough.

Food was excellent and the service was great. The restaurant does not serve spirits so their brunch cocktails are wine based which wasn't amazing but everything else was great!!

If you are in need of an English cuisine fix then look no further! Having lived in London for 11+ years, I thoroughly enjoyed the menu items that I ordered here: a selection of appetizers including brie fritters and liver pate with brioche toast and all the condiments. Also the bangers and mash and the banoffee pie were delicious. My guests enjoyed their Sunday dinner roast with traditional Yorkshire pudding. It catapulted us right back to the London based gastro pubs which are known for their amazing Sunday brunches. You won't be disappointed!

Well I never write reviews but had to as I was really craving English home food and this place just sent me back home in a heartbeat. Scotch egg was fantastic, bangers and mash on point and hands down the best banofee pie I ever had. I m so happy I found this place and I can’t wait to come in person and have a Sunday roast and a pint. Been in NYC for 6 yrs and gave up on finding real British food but now I have a place to go to when I m home sick. Thank you for making my day ! 10 star !

Nice pub atmosphere, but the food was overcooked. We asked for eggs over medium, and they were practically hard-boiled. They tried to make it up to us with a free dessert, but then they were out of the dessert they promised. Prices are too high to be okay with that.Wheelchair accessibility: It isn’t. My wife uses a cane and it was difficult to navigate

English food in a pub atmosphere. Three separate seating areas (one is outdoors in a courtyard). Background music is low enough to allow good conversation. Service is attentive but not overbearing. We spent 3 hours for drinks and dinner on a Tuesday night--no problem. On a second visit, salmon and fish and chips were excellent. Pate appetizer was large and delicious.

Very nice. My husband loved his fish and chips. Yorkshire pudding was overcooked (would have been wonderful otherwise) and Caesar salad was underwhelming, but I'm fussy about Caesar salads. Nice Allagash white on tap. Nice British ambience and I liked the Banoffee pie. Very nice service. Quite empty at lunchtime, which was surprising. Great 70s music.

Jones Wood Foundry, an enclave of authentic English pub magic, unfolds the city's best traditional menus, where each bite is a journey guided by meticulous ingredient curation. Amidst the camaraderie, lose track of time as you share pints and revel in the genuine, comforting allure of classic English fare with friends. For an unparalleled experience, let the golden standard be the fish and chips—once you savor their rendition, you'll never look elsewhere for a better iteration.

Excellent food, service and ambiance. Only one complaint: There's no printed beer list. You have to dig out your phone, open your QR app, and scan the beer offerings that way. Personally, I think that using phones at the table in any capacity is just rude to the people you're with. And I resent that the customer is responsible for accessing a beer menu that the restaurant should be responsible for providing. Otherwise, though, Jones Wood Foundry is excellent, and I'd highly recommend it.
