If you want great falafel at a reasonable price, Mamoun's is it. Their falafel has been a staple of the West Village for decades. They also have other food, but the falafel is so good, we can never pass it up.Very limited seating, so be prepared to eat on the go.
I grabbed lunch here on a Tuesday afternoon. I got a falafel plate: falafel served on a large salad with tahini sauce and pita. It was around $9.50 without tip. A lot of my friends really love Mamoun's, and I thought it was decent. I think the sandwiches are likely the way to go here, as they're only about $6.

Good hole-in-the-wall falafel place. Simple, no frills, good food. Macdougal street is really cool, a few other nice spots for cheap food......used to be look better before they added the outdoor tents, they really break up the vibe. Maybe if they disappear once the weather improves. Falafel was solid, but a little too messy and the hummus was a bit too runny.Overall: 3.5/5
