As a croissant baker, Michaeli had the second best croissant that I tried out of 20 bakeries, and it was not far behind the best. You definitely need to get a pain au chocolat. If I’m wrong I’ll give you a dollar.

Do not sleep on the chocolate caramel cookie! Best cookie i have ever eaten. The vegan chocolate babka was also delicious. I love this bakery.

Though this place is pricey for its location, their pastries are absolutely delicious. Their seasonal goat cheese and honey bread was warm and homey. Their Babka was delicious. This place is not nut-friendly for those with allergies and doesn’t have much seating for how busy it gets.
I typically travel to NYC during the month of December every year. The first stop is Michaeli Bakery. If you have never been, you are truly missing out. One of my favorites is the almond croissant......so buttery and delicious. I was lucky enough to meet the owner on one of my visits, There is not one person that I don't tell about this place if they are visiting NYC.

It’s an Israeli bakery. Amazing coffee and the baked goods are delicious exactly like Israel. Fresh and good chocolate regaluch. Very recommended.

Great pastry, but the counter service is horrible. I was there with my colleague at 11:00 AM, who had just purchased a dozen Hanukkah donuts. The young man at the counter was pleasant to everyone but intentionally rude to my colleague. We have been there twice this week and got the same vibe. I would love to promote local businesses, but I do not want to support a company that treats specific customers this way, and I wonder if the shop owner is aware of this.
