Though this place is pricey for its location, their pastries are absolutely delicious. Their seasonal goat cheese and honey bread was warm and homey. Their Babka was delicious. This place is not nut-friendly for those with allergies and doesn’t have much seating for how busy it gets.
I typically travel to NYC during the month of December every year. The first stop is Michaeli Bakery. If you have never been, you are truly missing out. One of my favorites is the almond croissant......so buttery and delicious. I was lucky enough to meet the owner on one of my visits, There is not one person that I don't tell about this place if they are visiting NYC.

As a croissant baker, Michaeli had the second best croissant that I tried out of 20 bakeries, and it was not far behind the best. You definitely need to get a pain au chocolat. If I’m wrong I’ll give you a dollar.
