Excellent meal here, we had beer and coffee that were good. The Chicken Kabab platter had all food nicely charred, with some Indian spiced white sauce. Chicken was cooked perfectly. The white rice was plain but good.Decor inside is very classy with dim lighting. Lots of brown.Service was good, getting us everything we needed.

I had a great time here. The sangria was great and my food was great. The waiter was very attentive and made sure we were well taken care of. We ate outside and it was awesome. It rained but we didn't get wet because the outside eating are is rainproof.I loved the atmosphere.Right downstairs in the basement they have a comedy bar which was pretty cool.

Very tucked away restaurant above the comedy cellar. The ambiance is very cool with a silent black and white film playing from a projector, chalkboard tables (with chalk provided to sketch while you eat and drink, and cool art all around. Food was a good too - hummus is a must, and the bean soup was very flavorful. Server was very friendly without being overbearing. Will come back!

Little confused when you walk in no direction of hostesses or how a basic restaurant works, seems to think they may be too cool to deal with normal restaurant tasks because they're above the coolest comedy club in nyc. Be more humble and realize this rank is temporary like everything

This is our favorite spot for borscht - when you get one, don’t make a mistake of ordering anything else, the borscht is enough!Did I mention Charlie Chaplin movies on the screen and local art n the walls?!

Yesterday I was in the bar with my man . He got there early , ordered the drink, went to the bathroom and as i texted him to meet me outside he rushed out to meet me and totally forgot about his drink and left his card too ( he paid) , i mean could happen to everyone . After meeting me , we went back to the bar where the bartender was super mean and rude to us for no reason at all, she had this huge attitude and couldn't behave herself around customers. I just don't see the reason for her being to act this way, she clearly was making us feel uncomfortable to stay , i don't know how she still works there with that personality, how did she pass the interview test? .My man was super calm and even wished her a nice day, and even when i had nothing to do with the situation - she was also mean to me , she was yelling like " IS THERE A PROBLEM? IS THERE A PROBLEM? Also when she saw me for the first time she was like " Hi miss, how are you? do you need anything or OOHHH, YOU'RE JUST WITH HIM HUH. ... like it's my first time in the bar and LAST. It's so unprofessional, me and my man we both worked in service and whole walk home we were just trying to understand her and think about situations we would act like her but guess what? nothing came to mind. She had blonde hair , in her early 20s. It was just embarrassing.also sad that other male coworker was also there and didn't do anything about it , even for other customers her behavior was embarrassing. My man didn't even drink his drink and we left

Really fun place. Probably my favorite bar. Chalk on tables is so much fun. Also each visit to the bathroom involves walking past a comedy cellar set going on usually so that’s always fun too!

Fantastic chicken wings. It's directly above the comedy cellar, which was interesting when I had to cross the middle of a comedy show to use the restroom! Great place to eat before or after a show or just whenever.

This place is quirky, old time village, colorful and comfortable. The food is simple and good and portions are generous. It's a great place to talk and relax with some friends and have drinks. It's inexpensive too!

Great food! Had the Kebab platter, side salads, and truffle fries. Best blue cheese dressing ever! Very good service as well. Next time will come for the live music hours.

A flash back to the Village in the 80s, funky, friendly, good food, with old comedy film screened on a wall - and you might see one of any number of current hot comedians at the next table!

I heard Johnny Depp comes in every night, trying to win the heart of one of the female servers.
