Excellent cocktails, good music, the views are spectacular and the waitress deserves a 10.

Highly recommended cocktail bar. Overall my experience was really good. Excellent attention since arrival. Of course the highlight are the views, which are amazing, buy there are also outstanding cocktails and an interesting food menu. My favorite drinks were Pink Tuxedo and Extraordinary. Cocktails are around $25, so 3 or 1 and 1 small dish cover the prepayment.

Overall just ok… the drinks were nothing to write home about so I’m not sure how they got a spot in the top 50 bars. Still ok but not worth the

Cool spot with good cocktails, but I wouldn’t say it was necessarily deserving of being ranked in the top 50 bars in the US. The liquor selection had much to be desired. The service was great and the ambiance was top notch for a romantic date night. The art deco building was quite the vibe though!

It’s a beautiful setting. However, management/staff weren’t strong enough handling a rude and obnoxious patron who was able to name drop a person who management/staff were privy too. At one point management/staff were actually kicking him & his female guest out because his bull in a china shop attitude which, changed the vibe. He essentially yelled at amale staff member and female manager alike. When returning to his seat he bragged to his date about telling them they were “r-word.” It got to the point that a couple next to me moved from the seats adjacent to the bar stools for a quieter relaxed setting. I shortly followed suit & went downstairs to SAGA for some peace / quiet. Poor handling of this situation. I won’t ever patron again. Their were ways to handle this… especially for the patrons in the direct blast radius. Staff when addressed were apologetic however, I paid for frat boy energy/egos to run a mock. Drinks were ok. The the tone changed so much I couldn’t even fairly rate them as I rather leave that endure.

Most horrible experience I've ever had at a bar in NYC. Like everyone else, I will express that the view was beautiful... but any other skyscraper can provide similar - therefore not worth the headache. The service was condescending and terrible. They were not trying to be accommodating in any way and they were dismissive. The food and drinks were expensive, yet mediocre at best... and the space itself was so small and dimly lit that we couldn't read the menu and suspected that hygiene wasn't a priority... I don't recommend it AT ALL.

$75 minimum per person on a Sunday night when many cocktails cost $24 is absurd. Their website also says your reservation is limited to 90 minutes. So I’m supposed to have 3-4 cocktails in 90 minutes and get hammered on a Sunday night? When you try to supplement it with something like a cheese plate you’ll get a few very small pieces of cheese. The drinks were good and the view was cool but you’re basically just paying through the nose to get the view. I get it, it’s Manhattan, but this place has a silly policy in my opinion.
The view is like nothing else. Drinks are unique and refreshing, with options for all tastes. Highly highly recommend.Kid-friendliness: Not Kid Friendly

Like a lot of others who've reviewed this place; you're going for the view. The drinks were above average but the food was very low value-for-price wise. Very small portions for high prices. The view was beautiful and the ambiance was great (it's a former condo converted into a bar). Seating is very limited so make sure to book weeks in advance!

We had a fantastic time at Overstory on a lovely Sunday evening. Kyle was our bartender and the service was outstanding. He was patient, kind, matched our energy, and his recommendations did not miss once. We are Kyle’s biggest fans and will come back just to have the Kyle experience once more!
