Sel et Poivre Reviews
French classic! Very good service. Has a little bar with very good cocktails and wines. Don't miss the duck a la orange, best in town! They have celery remoulade that is very difficult to find in a French restaurant in NY. The ambiance is very french. Excellent omelette! Best bread!! So good and comes warmed. Love it!,
Despite occasional complaints by first-time visitors, Sel et Poivre remains a star among NYC bistros. Yesterday I accompanied a friend to the restaurant for a light lunch. My omelette arrived the way I ordered it - soft or 'baveuse' in French. The fries were crispy and thin. What else can one ask for on a cold January day?

This is a sweet French Bistro we like going to but we also like to order in the food. Love the celeriac salad and the tarte flambee, and the duck a l'orange. Great profiteroles. You also can order directly from them which is nice.
