The service oscillates between terrible and non-existent. The creed of the staff is - they’re doing you a favor and you should be grateful for eating their Swedish meatballs. The place inside is small and cramped, something between a bus stop cafe and a shed. More tables outside where the car fumes mix nicely with the eggs over easy. The food is okay, hit or miss. The eggs can be too liquidy sometimes but overall the food is acceptable. But there are plenty of other places up and down the street with better service, better food and better ambiance. You can walk there or, better yet, run.

This small Scandinavian restaurant left a welcoming impression. The kitchen opened at 5pm and I had to wait a bit. I can recommend the Conserva and the Elderflower soda. Crispy sweet potatoes were softer than I expected, but it's still

TLDR: Great prices, food is ok, outdoor seating is not great but probably the only option on the weekend if you didn't make a reservation.Mixed feelings about the place. Ordered the danish hotdog, smoked salmon smørrebrød and a pancake. I would recommend the hot dog, the rest is decent but forgettable. The pancake is more like a crepe which I actually prefer. Prices are very good for how much salmon you get for the smørrebrød. It's a small place and it's often a long wait for weekend brunch. You might have better luck getting outdoor seating, but the tables are kinda wobbly. You won't get much service outdoor, and I don't know what happens if it starts raining in the middle of the meal (it started to drizzle as I was finishing up my meal and had to leave in a hurry)

Very rarely am I blown away by “hyped up places” these days but this is one of the few. Came here with a friend with no reservation on the weekend and was seated outside within 10 mins! The staff was beyond kind and helpful. We were super excited to try the food here so we ordered a bunch including matchas, the cardamom bun, the sweet potato & leek soup, the veggie sandwich with smoked salmon, and the crispy potato smørrebrød. The matchas were pretty standard and the cardamom bun was a littlebigger than other places. The soup was so amazing. It came with bread on the side, but all the flavors together with the spices in the soup and its almost paste-like texture made it so good on a cold day. The veggie sandwich was massive, almost inedible because everything kept pouring out of it. The picked vegetables and the marinated greens paired so well with the smoked salmon. I couldn’t get enough. The portion was also so so massive for the price. The crispy potato smørrebrød was acidic and savory in the best ways. Though it was smaller in portion to other dishes, it was dense and filling. Great texture and flavors on all the dishes. Cute lil shop where you can sit indoor or outdoor. And amazing bakery next door for just fika. Would definitely come here again and would highly recommend!!

Visited for lunch, the herring open face sandwiches were great! Really well-made and flavorful. Their curry herring was my favorite! It’s a very small restaurant and it looks like they get super crowded during peak times. Highly suggest a reservation if you’re visiting on the weekends.

Overall rating: 4.8Super cute Scandanavian spot in the EV. I’ve never had Scandanavian food before so I was very excited to give it a try! I went with 2 friends & this is what we shared:- ($18)>> a great way to try different items!- Cashew & Pea ($13)>> sooo good. I didn’t really taste that much cashew but it was very tasty- Swedish ($23)>> it was good. Nothing special. Was missing something or flavor.- Danish hot ($7)>> very unique and delicious- side of Potato ($6.5)>> meh, didn’t hate it. Felt average.- Hangover ($18.5)>> good but very big. I don’t think it was needed to order. We were stuffed with what we already had- Danish ($12)>> very much worth it!Pictures do not do the place justice due to the red lighting. I do think it’s a very tight place, but everything else was great. The service was very nice & was able to memorize everything we ordered! Highly recommend.

Our brunch experience at Smor was exceptional, a true highlight for anyone who appreciates authentic Scandinavian cuisine. We shared a variety of dishes, each more delightful than the last. The Danish-style pancakes were a perfect balance of fluffy and flavorful, an absolute must-try. The Danish Hot Dog was a delightful surprise, packed with unique flavors that set it apart from any ordinary hot dog.The Smoked Salmon and Pickled Herring were also standout dishes. The salmon was expertly smoked, melting in our mouths with each bite, and the pickled herring was a delightful journey of tangy and savory notes. Each dish showcased the skill and authenticity that Smor brings to its cuisine.Don't let the size of the place fool you; it's a small restaurant with a big heart and even bigger flavors. The cozy atmosphere adds to the charm, making the dining experience feel both intimate and welcoming.Smor is a must-visit for those looking to explore Scandinavian culinary delights. The quality and taste of the food are truly out of this world. Highly recommend for an unforgettable gastronomic adventure. Five stars!
