Had the oxtail special. Unreal good. Green plantains, yuca and red beans/rice were so flavorful. That green sauce is to die for. The photo isn’t that great but good golly this was so tasty. If you like Cuban food at all you’ll love this place.

Decent Cuban food. Empanadas and shake are decent, some of the meats are overcooked. Not super friendly unless you’re fluent in Spanish.
I ordered a spinach and cheese empanada. Only got cheese. I will try again. ????

Unfortunately this is the worst location they gave me very little food portion and the side of plantains she gave my three pieces and said it with an attitude I’m definitely not coming back to this location very disappointed and they gave just nothing in the plate for $16 this is not right and I should of got my money back. I don’t recommend this location your are wasting your money. I like Sophie’s but this location is not worth your money. I wish they would contact me and give me something for this unbelievable experience the manager needs to be on top of situations like this one!!

Stopped early in the morning walking north in Uptown. Bought a beef empanada. It was fresh and tasted really good. Paid $4

cuban sandwich was taaty but the bread was not crispy and barely toasted. he planains were stale and dry.....little more effort can get you 5/5 stars.....
This food is so bland! She asked if I wanted spicy sauce and I should have said yes. No flavor whatsoever! The 2 stars is because I'm surprised the small was the tin and not the small carton

Sophie's is one of my favorite places for Empanadas. I enjoy the Cuban sandwiches too. When I'm in the neighborhood hanging around it's fast to grab a couple of my favorite empanadas and eat them then hit the door. I'm not one to sit around but will take advantage of the restroom. It's a chain but it's satisfying to me and reasonably priced. I've never had to wait for my food. Check out is easy because I pay cash. Enjoy!

Affordable spot around the area, especially for lunch. Their menu is not extensive but they have enough options for people with different tastes. It was easy to order and pay. The only thing I did not like was that my chicken Milanese had an after taste since I imagine they reuse their oils for different preparations. I would go back but would not order the Milanese again.

If I could give this 0 stars I would !!!! My coworker picked up sandwiches for us and as soon I opened the sandwich there was a cockroach that was squished into the sandwich. My coworker then went back to show them and their reply is “I’m so sorry- that has never happened to us before” then asking for a refund asap, they continued to say “3-4 business days”. She didn’t want to make a scene and let the other customers aware of the situation, she then gave the refund, never again! Horrible service and no manners whatsoever!!

Highly dissapointed and disgusted! A burnt roach on my sandwich. Never going back again
