if you're looking for a light and proper poke, this isn't it, especially not for the money--barely any actual fish, mostly overpowering fried onion and (strangely?) avocado. not terrible tasting but too salty, and i usually find myself adding salt to food. i guess they call it stonie bowls because you'd have to be stoned to think it's poke
I am a long time fan of Matt Stonie and found out about Stonie Bowls through one of his recently uploaded YouTube videos. I never would have set foot into the CITIZENS Manhattan Building before since it only looked like an office space from the exterior.It should be noted that Stonie Bowls does not have a stand-alone counter where one can order from. Not bad. The poke bowls are pricey ($17 each) but it is a lot of food. They were out of the seaweed salad when I went, which was a bummer, but over all I thought it was a good lunch. I only ate about half to 2/3 of the box.
