Very calm little restaurant. Thankfully unpretentious. A nice place to re-charge before/after visiting The Whitney.Vegetarian options: The lunch menu was small overall but there was at least one meatless option in every menu section.
The sandwiches are on the expensive side but worth it. The combinations are interesting and fresh flavored. We split one and added coffee and a pastry. Again both were excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful and the setting is lovely. It appeared that you could go to this cafe even if you were not going to the museum.

The pizza is excellent but the chicken farro salad needs a complete overhaul. There are so many ways to make this salad amazingly flavorful and leave an impression…it sort of has an Asian twist but doesn’t use enough seasoning or sesame oil or lime or maybe rice vinegar….so many ways to make this 27$ Salad taste like a 27$ dollar salad….please please make this salad as delicious as I know it can be.
