Manager was abusing the staff. Yelling at them threatening to fire the hard working and lovely staff. Food is great, love this place but the manager (older gentleman, plaid shirt, thelios? ) ruined the vibe and energy.
I truly love the food and service here! Specifically I'd order the grilled octopus, branzino, and scallops agains. The manager is great and always checking on how you are doing as well. The environment is perfect for big group environments

Same operation as the famed Astoria eatery and just as good if not better, in a way. Decor was fresh and rather East village, the menu was varied and true to the Astoria precedent, and the wait staff was friendly and accommodating. I opted for two vegetarian appetizers as my meal on my companion hub roasted chicken with rice. All was thoughtfully prepared and presented.
