It’s very good but the portions are small, even the staff admitted this to us to encourage us to order more.

Food was better than average and about commensurate with the price. Staff were well meaning, but not well trained either at the bar or at table. A bit too busy for my taste. In the end, taking all into account, I am ambivalent.

Food and drinks were great! We got the prickly pear margaritas. Rice and beans were average. The star was the queso fundito and birria tacos. Service was fast and attentive. The inside was also decorated nicely as we sat next to the hanging lamps.

I dream of the pumpkin truffle rice and go out of my way to procure it. I usually have to get an extra order or 2 to-go it’s so good. The house guacamole is super fresh and the chips are perfect. I wasn’t too impressed with the ceviche, but everything else was divine. Highly recommend the prickly pear margarita as well!

Visited this Mexican spot on the Upper East Side last Sunday with my partner. It's got a shadowy, yet cozy vibe that's just right for a casual date night. We started with the rojo guacamole - smoky, spicy, and served with warm chips, just how I like it. I tried the huevos motulenos for my main, but it was a bit slimy for my taste, kinda missed the mark for me. Still, the truffle quesadilla on the next table looked tempting, so I might give this place another shot soon.

The food was incredible. I got the birria tacos and the tortillas were crisp, not soggy, and the brisket and sauce were delicious. The black beans were sooo good. Everyone in the group ordered tacos (chicken and vegetarian) and loved the tacos. Will definitely be back when I’m in the area.

We came here on the recommendation of a friend and even with her glowing review, we were still blown away! Every dish was delicious, the service was friendly and attentive, and the prices were a steal. Our family had the truffle quesadillas, the carne asada tacos, and the langosta tacos. We shared an order of guac and the kids had the flan and churros for dessert. Great dinner; we can't wait to return!

Food quality for the price doesn't match. The food was good but if you're looking for Mexican food - a taqueria would be a better fit. Perhaps my own opinion - but Mexican food is supposed to be comfort food - not meant to be swanky, upscale dishes..... again, my opinion. Keep in mind, I moved to NYC a couple years ago from California where I was spoiled by really good Mexican food - so yes, I'm biased for sure - thus far, I've tried at least 10 different Mexican food restaurants in NYC and still nothing compares. What ever happened to Pinto Beans and/or Refried Beans? Do they not exist in NYC? Only Black Beans? Really? All-in-all - the restaurant was "good" - the ambiance was amazing - the service was above and beyond - but for me, the food doesn't do it for me - but again, I'm very specific on my "mexican food".
