I had an outstanding experience at Tumi on Fifth Avenue, and I owe it all to Renato. He was incredibly helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable, and he went above and beyond to assist me with my product. Renato provided me with a quick and thorough resolution to the issue I was experiencing, and I am extremely satisfied with the level of customer service I received. I highly recommend Tumi - especially this location - to anyone in need of excellent customer service. Thank you again, Renato, for your outstanding assistance!

NOT TRANSPARENT ABOUT REPAIR COSTSMy bag had a broken handle. Called the store to see how much it would cost. Was told $25. Dropped it off at the store, indeed paid $25. This was *only* a processing fee. Was then sent an email that it would cost $100 additional to actually repair it; why would the staff not be upfront about the repair process and fees?

The staff is really nice and was able to fix my carry-on in recent years. However, when I had a part that could not be fixed here, they gave me incorrect info that I hope clarifying might save others some grief: DO NOT LET THEM MAIL YOUR SUITCASE FOR REPAIR. I was told it would be $25 for the repair, plus a few bucks for the parts. That is not the case. The invoice I received was for $150, including a separate $25 charge for return shipping. I don't mind paying for the parts, but they try to repair everything, and they don't split out the parts (listing all 4 wheels instead of fixing the 1 wheel that's broken). You have to call to get them to fix the singular broken part. Also, your wheels might not be broken. They said the other 3 were just loose, and they tried to charge for all of them. You can tighten them yourself at home. Multiple calls to clarify everything. TIP: On one of several calls, I later learned it is possible to just send a photo of the broken part and the TUMI barcode, and you can pay only for the broken/missing part to be mailed to you, instead of mailing the whole suitcase back and forth. I wish they told me that! The broken part was the hinge on the spine, a 1.5" part that requires a screwdriver, that costs $15. Seems silly to mail the whole suitcase in, risking damage in the mail as well, and costs $50+ for a $15 part.

I popped in with the Tumi rollaboard suitcase that's been my constant travel companion around the globe (probably at least half a dozen times, in fact) for nearly a decade. During my most recent trip, the top handle had popped loose and was hanging on by a single screw. Otherwise, it's in fine condition. I figured I'd take advantage of their retail location offer: package and ship my product for $25 to their repair center. Upon entering, I was promptly and warmly greeted by a fellow. I explained my woes and, after a brief inspection, indicated that it might be repairable in-store. I seated myself on a nearby bench to wait. The associate disappeared to snag some tools and returned shortly to dismantle my luggage. Not fifteen minutes later, the entire problem was solved. Apparently, the washers had busted, but were easily replaced. Upon being informed I was sorted, I inquired what the charge would be. "It's free," was the response. Awed, I returned something like, "Wow, that's amazing. Thank you!" to which I got back, "That's why you pay for Tumi." And that, friends, is why you pay for Tumi.

The Salesman who was there yesterday at 3:40 pm 10/31/21 was very nice and attentive. It was my first tumi purchase and he went out of his way to make me feel welcomed and not out of place in a more luxurious environment, as I’m not very well acquainted to them. He encouraged me to check out all the bags I was interested in. Going out of his way to find me bags that were modeled after the bag I originally wanted. He even gave me a little synopsis of the brand and why I should have one. I only wish I would have got his name. Thank you for the help sir! Hope they give you a raise

I love Tumi. 25 years ago I received a Tumi backpack as a gift. While it is STILL in good shape, with laptops and all I needed a new one. Love my new laptop/backpack but within the first month the luggage tag ripped. Not a big deal but to get it fixed I would have to ship it back somewhere. And anyone that has a Tumi bag know that not only CAN'T you live one day without your Tumi, you shouldn't HAVE to. I went by this location in Flatiron this weekend and inquired as to what I can do. Within 3 min the man swapped out the tag with another one and I was on my way. Seriously, in NYC where running around all day is our life... don't settle for anything but a TUMI!

I stopped by to send my Tumi luggage away to get repaired. To my surprise Renato & Rocky worked diligently to replace the handle in the store. I truly believe that most stores would not have provided service like this. So many times you deal with people who are worried more about the selling part of their jobs. These guys went way beyond the call of duty. They are the best!!!
