It was just great! As a European, you often miss a certain food culture in the USA. There is usually a lack of atmosphere and coziness - the "gemutlichkeit". Sitting at a real wooden table, celebrating the meal, enjoying it, sometimes with a candle instead of under neon lights, that's what we usually missed. Food was very authentic and delicious! Came out quickly and service was great! We did go a little earlier, around 6:30, and it was mostly empty when we got there. It did get busier towards the end of our meal.

I went to this restaurant for my birthday, and despite the last minute discovery, Giovanni and Matteo went out of their way to surprise me and bring me a slice of cake to celebrate. Delicious dishes and Matteo very kind, the prices are fair and even lower than many restaurants in New York. Giovanni was very kind and even moved my table under the Lazio mural (I'm a Roma fan ??) but they deserve a 5 star rating! Highly recommended!
