I visited NYC for the first time a few months ago and Vito's Slices and Ices was right by the hotel. I always heard good things about the pizza in NYC so I was excited to try it. This place lives up to the hype! I tried 3 other places and none of them were as good as Vito's. Can't wait to go on another trip so I can get some pizza!
It is located at the intersection of 9th Avenue and 36th Street and it is a pizzeria with many options, mainly from southern Italy. We really liked everything we tried. The pizza slices were very large and the tall gentleman at the counter was very polite and informative.

I gotta say this as a Southerner who was in town to see Long Island’s own Billy Joel at MSG. I made a total bonehead mistake and typed in the wrong amount online for payment (roughly 10x the amount with tip) and these guys were quick to recognize and contact me, assuring me that they had averted the crisis and would have my slices ready for the correct payment when I got there (which was ~ 5 til close).
