Great establishment. Fresh and authentic Puebla style Mexican food. Great selection for everyone in the family and great service, would recommend to anyone.

I used to frequent this place when its was called Jessie's diner; and I'll have to say it's a completely different vibe and feel from the previous owners. The interior has about eight to ten tables and it can feel a little cramped but it's decorated very carefully and has a nice old school vibe from a diner from the early 50s but serving down-home authentic Mexican food. Can't quite pinpoint what region they are serving but I can't tell you that it's worth the stop. Stopped in at lunch and there wasn't much of a crowd so the food came out within 10 minutes I had the tacos al pastor, enchilada platter and tacos de alambre (not quite sure how to describe the last one but it was a mixed grill of all the meats covered in cheese and the soft tacos on the side) Service was very quick and polite and I would recommend you brush up on your Spanish just a bit all in all very good experience I'm looking forward to coming back on the weekends to check out their tamales.

If I could give it 10 stars I would. I stopped by with my family this weekend to have dinner. Not only was the service great, the restaurant is super cute with its beautifully hand painted chairs and tables but the food is beyond amazing! On the weekends they have tamales so we ordered several of the rojos y verdes and they were I'm going to go out there and say the BEST tamales in Newburgh. They were moist, masa to meat ratio was perfect and the flavor was beyond! Also tried the vegetarian sopes which melted in my mouth with a side of grilled chicken, sauteed onions on a bed of nopales (cactus). Took an Horchata to go because my heart was happy and full with such good food! I came back the next day for Brunch and had a small Chicken Torta Milanesa with some carnitas tacos. If I didn't live in Brooklyn I'd literally eat here everyday! I can't wait to return and try more food because everything was great.
